Reporting directly to the Sr. Recruitment Director, the Recruitment Director fosters a sales-driven culture and accelerates revenue and profitability growth through the leadership, performance management and training of the Recruitment team. The Recruitment Director plays a key role in their team of Recruiters and Recruitment Team Leads. The Recruitment Director may have a maximum of 10 personal TOA and any additional TOA will be immediately reassigned upon promotion. The Recruitment Director is actively engaged in the daily management and coaching of Recruiters to drive overall candidate submissions, bookings, traveler count and traveler retention, while maintaining and/or growing profitable margins.   

The Recruitment Director actively partners with the Recruitment Support, Account Management, Credentialing and Accounting Operations leaders to ensure a streamlined and positive experience for candidates and clients. The Recruitment Director is a results-driven, well-organized leader who proactively pursues opportunities to improve departmental performance and collaborate with other cross-departmental leaders to address operational challenges. As a respected role model with solid business acumen and excellent communication skills, the Recruitment Director leads in alignment with Host Healthcare’s core values and elevates the overall professionalism, productivity, confidence and engagement of the team. 


  • Be an example for our people by demonstrating Host Healthcare Core Values in everything you do 
  • Achieves or exceeds monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue, volume and margin targets for the department. 
  • Actively strategizes with team to increase performance and candidate pipeline using key call, file submission, conversion, booking, traveler count, cancellation, and retention metrics. 
  •  Actively coaches Recruiters through weekly one-on-one meetings and monthly performance evaluations. 
  • Maintains a strong presence within their own Team:  
    • Runs daily team stand-up 
    • Has weekly one-on-one meetings with all direct reports 
    • Assist Recruiters in maintaining healthy margins within pay packages  
    • Pay package approval  
    • Understands each direct reports’ professional purpose, and reason for being a Recruiter at Host Healthcare 
    • Monitors Recruiter Timecards and coaches on time blocking strategies  
    • Assist in hiring process (when applicable) 
  • Maintains an inclusive culture by ensuring that remote recruiters and team members from other departments are included and recognized for good performance. 
  • Collaborates with the appropriate internal departments to develop and execute campaigns to drive bookings with large strategic client accounts. 
  • Actively collaborates with the Recruitment Support, Account Management, Credentialing and Accounting Operations teams to drive bookings and reduce delayed starts, cancellations and service issues.  
  • Continually develops leadership skills by attending leadership courses offered internally. Also expands knowledge of healthcare staffing and managed services market trends, industry analyst updates, and competitive data by reviewing internal and external sources. 

  • Experienced in building, leading and developing high performance results-driven sales teams; successful track record of meeting sales targets and leading other managers and/or team leads 
  • Excellent interpersonal communications and coaching skills. Exudes leadership presence and fosters a culture of trust, respect and professionalism across the organization in alignment with the Host Healthcare core values. Able to retain composure in a fast-paced environment.  
  • High degree of business acumen, with ability to negotiate, trouble-shoot and problem-solve collaboratively with external candidates and internal team members   
  • Consistently displays a positive attitude and sets a regular example for our core values 
  • Someone who proactively promotes our company culture 
  • High comfort level with using analytics and reporting of key performance metrics to guide sales strategies and tactics. High proficiency in using technology platforms including Salesforce Target Recruit.   
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree or years of proven success in the industry
