About the Role

100% remote, work-from-home opportunity for experienced Senior Commercial Lines Underwriters with an insurance company that has a legacy of investing in its communities through charitable giving and volunteerism. Location: Remote, work-from-home for qualified applicants in WI, IA, IL, MN, ND, and SD. 


Responsibilities: Assess risk exposures for new and existing business. Identify opportunities to grow by working closely with agents and territory sales leaders in your assigned territory. Oversee a variety of coverage and risk exposures to write profitable commercial package business (with an emphasis on casualty lines). Comfortable with high risk, high hazard business.


Experience: 

  • Minimum five (5) years of commercial lines underwriting experience with a well-rounded property and casualty background
  • Possesses an in-depth knowledge of rating concepts
  • Enjoys relationship management and comfortable working closely with independent agents, including on-site meetings, to discuss the company’s programs, services, and capabilities
