What is a remote quantitative psychologist?

A remote quantitative psychologist is a professional who applies statistical methods, mathematical modeling, and data analysis techniques to psychological research, all while working from a location outside of a traditional office—often from home. They design and analyze psychological studies, develop measurement tools, and interpret complex data to inform theory and practice. This role often involves collaborating with research teams, universities, or companies virtually, using specialized software to conduct surveys, experiments, or meta-analyses. Remote quantitative psychologists are critical in ensuring that psychological research is rigorous and evidence-based.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote quantitative psychologist?

To thrive as a Remote Quantitative Psychologist, you need a strong background in psychological research methods, advanced statistical analysis, and a relevant graduate degree (often a PhD or Master's in quantitative psychology or a related field). Expertise with statistical software such as R, SPSS, or Python, as well as familiarity with data management systems, is typically required. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly are standout soft skills for this role. These competencies are crucial for designing robust studies, analyzing data remotely, and effectively translating insights to support evidence-based decision-making.

How do remote quantitative psychologists typically collaborate with cross-functional research teams?

Remote quantitative psychologists often work closely with researchers, data scientists, and subject-matter experts through virtual meetings and collaborative platforms. They contribute by designing studies, analyzing complex data, and interpreting statistical findings to inform research decisions. Effective communication and regular check-ins help bridge the distance, ensuring that all team members are aligned on project goals and methodologies. While remote work offers flexibility, it also requires proactive engagement to maintain strong collaborative relationships.

Job description

Wall Street Quants helps ambitious students and early-career professionals break into quantitative finance.
We train candidates for roles in quant trading, quant research, quant development, and other elite finance careers at firms like Citadel, Jane Street, Two Sigma, HRT, Jump Trading, Optiver, IMC, SIG, DRW, and more.
We are building the default media, education, and recruiting platform for the next generation of quant talent.
We are hiring a Head of Content and Audience Growth to turn Wall Street Quants into the most trusted and visible brand in quant careers.
This is not a basic content manager role. You will own the strategy behind our organic content machine across YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, newsletters, community, and long-form media.
Your job is to understand the aspiring quant audience better than anyone else, identify the stories and ideas they care about, package those ideas in a way that spreads, and turn attention into applications, booked calls, and students.
You will own:
  • Content strategy across YouTube, short-form, LinkedIn, newsletter, and community
  • Audience research and market intelligence
  • Content ideas, hooks, titles, thumbnails, and creative briefs
  • Recurring content franchises and editorial themes
  • Student success story strategy
  • Quant firm breakdowns, salary reports, recruiting insights, and career content
  • Organic lead generation from content
  • Content calendar and production workflow
  • Performance analysis and iteration
  • Managing editors, researchers, producers, and contractors as the team grows

You will develop and own multiple content franchises in order to create repeatable formats that compound over time, not random posts.
Requirements
You are a strong fit if:
  • You have built or helped grow a serious organic content engine before
  • You understand YouTube, short-form video, LinkedIn, and newsletters
  • You know how to turn technical or niche topics into compelling stories
  • You understand hooks, titles, thumbnails, retention, and audience psychology
  • You are creative, analytical, and performance-driven
  • You care about leads and revenue, not just views
  • You can manage editors, researchers, producers, and contractors
  • You want ownership in a fast-moving startup environment

This role is probably not right for someone who only wants to write blog posts, manage a social calendar, or create content without being accountable for applications, booked calls, and revenue impact.
Benefits
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation: $100,000 to $150,000 depending on experience
  • Performance-based upside for the right candidate
  • Remote work flexibility
  • High-ownership role with direct impact on company growth
  • Opportunity to build the leading media brand in quant careers
  • Work closely with the founding team
  • Ability to build and manage your own supporting content team over time
