The Woman's Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team on a full-time basis. • Conduct thorough assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs, including crisis intervention and behavioral guidelines.
• Document client interactions and treatment progress in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Utilize evidence-based screening tools in collaboration with the clinical team to identify client needs effectively.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to implement positive behavior support plans aimed at improving client outcomes.
• Actively engage in the licensing and accreditation processes to uphold the highest standards of care.
• Serve as a liaison between clients and necessary service systems, including state agencies and community partners, as needed.
• Communicate openly and effectively with clients and team members to promote agency mission and meet contractual obligations.
• Establish and nurture relationships with local, state, and federal entities to enhance program visibility and secure new partnerships or funding opportunities.
• Pursue opportunities for personal and professional development, including attending conferences and representing the agency at relevant events.
• Promote and integrate the agency's mission, values, and principles in all interactions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to support team objectives.

The successful candidate will work primarily with individuals facing mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Our client population encompasses diverse backgrounds, and our counseling strategies are designed to address unique cultural needs while providing a safe and inclusive environment for all.

• A Master’s Degree in the mental health field is required.
• An independent LMHC license is a must to practice in New York.

• Previous experience in a telehealth or remote counseling setting is beneficial.
• A strong understanding of evidence-based practices and protocols in mental health treatment is preferred.
• Experience working with diverse populations and knowledge of resource availability in the community is advantageous.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additionally, you can expect:
