Job description

The salary range for this job is $88,000- $121,000/year + Bonus

Numerator is looking for a Technical Product Manager for our Data Extraction team. The Technical Product Manager is responsible for ingesting consumer purchase data in many forms, parsing and processing it and turning it into structured data for downstream processes to utilize. The role is a mix of strategic and tactical - looking for new technologies and methods to increase automation and data quality, adapting to the future of how consumers purchase goods & services and how they share their data, and getting into the nitty gritty details of processing receipts and the complex business logic involved.

This role will work with many other back-end development teams, including Deep Learning and Mobile Apps, and very closely with our Operations team in maintaining and improving our data entry application. The role will also coordinate and communicate with many other parts of the organization, including our Data Science team, Services team, and Sales to help them better understand the nuances of our data. Here's what you'll be doing on a day to day basis:

What You'll Do:
  • Own the team’s roadmap and set clear priorities for the team; work with engineering leads to drive quarterly planning sessions

  • Gather feedback from around the organization and incorporate industry knowledge to modify the roadmap and re-prioritize as necessary

  • Own the team’s objectives, key results, and monitor metrics regularly to measure the team’s performance and impact; use these metrics in your decision making on priorities

  • Supervise the day-to-day execution: work with the Product Owner to run standups, sprints, and planning for our development team, and maintain and prioritize a backlog of tickets

  • Guide the team into translating the product specifications into mockups and actionable work items

  • Be the Subject Matter Expert for our receipt processing business logic and communicate the implications of this logic to other teams, both technical and non-technical

  • Manage resource allocation across different initiatives and work closely with engineering leaders to make sure that key engineering talent is efficiently allocated

  • Work effectively with remote teams across multiple time zones, domestic and off-shore

  • Leverage SQL to create new KPIs, investigate data issues, and gather information to inform decision-making
