The LCSW will play a vital role in assessing therapeutic needs and guiding families through individualized plans that bolster the development of young children, particularly those with disabilities or developmental delays.

About the Organization

At Prime Core Counseling Center, our mission is to empower marginalized populations, enabling them to realize their full potential. We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and equitable environment for allโ€”our partners, clients, and employees. Our services extend across all facets of care for children, from implementing regional programs to providing direct services under federal and state initiatives. We believe in a culturally competent approach that honors diverse experiences and perspectives, strengthening our community and organizational impact.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexible work conditions while supporting children and families in a school-based setting. At Prime Core, we have cultivated a collaborative team-oriented atmosphere, where LCSWs actively engage with fellow professionals and families, promoting continuity of care and the best possible outcomes for our clients. Despite the remote nature of the job, you will have access to robust support from your colleagues and administrative staff, ensuring you feel integrated into our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of children to determine their therapeutic needs and developmental status.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring alignment with child development best practices.
  • Monitor and assess progress, adjusting intervention strategies as needed to achieve optimal child outcomes.
  • Provide direct support and guidance to families, equipping them with skills and strategies to foster their childโ€™s development.
  • Utilize evidence-based methodologies, including the Natural Learning Environment Practices, to deliver high-quality services in line with both family priorities and child development frameworks.
  • Participate actively in team meetings to collaborate with other professionals, sharing insights and strategies that benefit child and family outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations in the provision of services.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress reports.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on infants and toddlers with disabilities or developmental delays, providing early intervention services that foster their development across multiple domainsโ€”physical, cognitive, social/emotional, and communication. Our LCSWs engage closely with families, providing them the support and education needed to cultivate growth during critical early years!

Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • A current LCSW license issued by the California Department of Public Health is mandatory.
  • At least one year of relevant experience working with children, particularly in early intervention settings.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills to effectively juggle client caseloads.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel as required for assessments and meetings.
  • Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, as language skills will enhance service delivery to diverse families.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with evidence-based practices in child development.
  • Familiarity with the coaching model and natural environment teaching techniques.
  • A proven track record of fostering collaborative relationships within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and improving skills in line with current best practices.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 75,000 to 80,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, Prime Core Counseling Center offers a competitive benefits package that includes:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance options.
  • Retirement 401(k) plan with a company match.
  • Generous paid time off and sick leave policies.
  • Life insurance and profit-sharing programs.
  • Employee discounts with local vendors and flexible spending accounts.
  • Tuition reimbursement for ongoing education and training.
  • Referral bonuses and flexible work schedules to support work-life balance.
