This position operates in a completely remote setting, providing the flexibility to work from home while being an integral part of a skilled and supportive team. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., affording you a work-life balance that allows time for personal endeavors. • Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.
• Create personalized treatment plans that reflect each client's unique goals and preferences, ensuring a tailored approach to therapy.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), effectively to help clients manage their challenges.
• Educate and empower clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to enhance coping skills.
• Consistently monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to provide integrated care for clients, optimizing their treatment experience.
• Stay current with the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to continually improve care delivery.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation following legal and ethical regulations.
• Actively participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
• Advocate for mental health awareness and work towards breaking down stigma while meeting clients’ needs effectively.

In this role, you will primarily focus on individuals struggling with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorders. You will also work with diverse groups, such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence, providing you with the opportunity to address various socio-economic factors that may impact mental health treatment. Your work in this capacity will have a significant influence on clients’ long-term recovery and mental well-being.

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required to ensure compliance with state regulations.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is mandatory, providing you with the foundational knowledge for effective therapeutic practices.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster secure, trusting relationships with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy, respect, and a nonjudgmental attitude towards clients’ experiences and challenges are essential qualities.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage administrative tasks efficiently while maintaining a focus on client care.
