Graham is recruiting for a Security Professional to join our Buildings Division in support of critical Defence projects.  Reporting to the Director, Defence Sector, the Security Professional will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of project security, including personnel security, physical security, information security, document control, access control, and compliance programs.

Operating within a highly regulated environment, you will ensure project compliance with federal security requirements, contractual obligations, and corporate security standards while fostering a strong security culture across all site operations. This role serves as the primary security resource for the projects and acts as a liaison with government agencies, clients, and internal stakeholders to protect project assets, information, personnel, and infrastructure.

This role requires comprehensive knowledge in the discipline of Industrial Security and is responsible for developing, strategizing, and managing site security program policies.

Your Role in Building What Matters – From Office to Site 

  • Lead the implementation and ongoing management of project security programs, including personnel, physical, information, document control, and access management.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and contractual security requirements, including CSP, CGP, Industrial Security requirements, and client security directives.
  • Develop and maintain project security plans, procedures, training programs, audits, and corrective action plans.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with PSPC, DCC, project security authorities, and regulatory agencies under the direction of the Corporate Security Officer.
  • Manage security clearances, site access, visitor management, investigations, incident reporting, and security awareness initiatives.
  • Partner with Operations, HR, IT, Legal, and project teams to integrate security requirements into project delivery.
  • Monitor security risks, support audits and compliance reviews, and promote a proactive security culture through training and continuous improvement.

The Right Tools for the Job 

  • 5+ years of experience in Industrial Security, Corporate Security, Defence, Government, Construction, or Federal Contracting environments.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian federal security programs and requirements, including CSP, CGP, Industrial Security, ITAR, information security, and cybersecurity standards.
  • Proven experience leading security programs on large infrastructure, defence, industrial, or construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of security risk management, investigations, incident response, audits, compliance monitoring, and security training.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple disciplines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and security management systems.

 

Preferred Certifications

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
  • COMSEC Account Management Certification (COM102C and/or COM103C)
  • CPP (Certified Protection Professional), PSP (Physical Security Professional), or equivalent security designation considered an asset
  • Valid Secret (Level II) Security Clearance or ability to obtain; Top Secret clearance is considered a strong asset.
