What is a remote PropTech?

A Remote Prop Tech job refers to a position within the property technology (PropTech) sector that can be performed from a remote location, typically outside of a traditional office setting. PropTech encompasses the use of technology and software to innovate and improve the real estate industry, including property management, listings, sales, and smart building solutions. Remote Prop Tech roles can range from software development and data analysis to customer support and product management, all focused on enhancing how properties are bought, sold, managed, or maintained. These jobs allow professionals to contribute to the advancement of real estate technology from anywhere with internet access.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote PropTech specialist?

To thrive as a Remote PropTech Specialist, you need expertise in real estate processes, technology platforms, and data analysis, often supported by a degree in business, real estate, or information technology. Familiarity with property management systems, CRM software, IoT devices, and relevant PropTech solutions is typically required, along with certifications like PMCP or experience with tools like Yardi or AppFolio. Strong communication, problem-solving, and self-motivation are crucial soft skills for remote collaboration and client support. These competencies ensure efficient technology adoption, seamless property management, and successful remote team integration in the evolving real estate industry.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working in remote PropTech roles, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in remote PropTech positions often encounter challenges such as coordinating across different time zones, staying updated with rapidly evolving property technologies, and maintaining effective communication with cross-functional teams. To address these, leveraging collaborative tools, setting clear expectations for meeting times, and participating in ongoing training can help. Additionally, proactively engaging with both internal teams and external stakeholders ensures alignment on project goals and fosters a strong remote work culture.

Job description

Senior Frontend Engineer

Elevated Hires is recruiting a **Senior Frontend Engineer** for an opportunity in healthcare technology. This role is designed for an experienced professional who can deliver high-quality work, collaborate across teams, and turn complex requirements into practical results. The position is based in Pittsburgh preferred, or remote, U.S.-based.

Key Responsibilities

- Architect State & Data Fetching: Build custom client-side state architectures and raw data-fetching systems (fetch, AbortController, signal composition, request deduplication, cache freshness, and structured error envelopes with correlation IDs) without relying on heavy external state libraries.

- Maintain High-Fidelity UI & Design Systems: Author and maintain production design-system primitives using React 18 and utility-first Tailwind CSS.

- Deliver Complex Clinical Workflows: Build multi-section clinical forms with field-level validation, partial-save/dirty-state handling, server-side error mapping, and strict date/timezone handling (TZ=America/New_York).

- Enforce Strict Quality & Accessibility: Write accessible UI patterns (focus trapping, keyboard navigation, aria-invalid, dynamic live regions) and maintain high test coverage using Vitest and React Testing Library.

- Protect Patient Privacy (HIPAA/PHI): Maintain strict client-side PHI guards, keeping logs, analytics, and third-party tools completely free of sensitive patient data.

- Cross-Stack Collaboration: Trace API contracts directly into backend source code (Python/FastAPI) and implement router-level authorization models with feature flags.Architect, develop, and maintain modern, scalable web applications.

Qualifications

- React 18 & State Architecture: Deep mastery of React hooks discipline, context composition, dynamic imports (lazy/Suspense), and building custom client-side state solutions without Redux, Zustand, or React Query.

- Advanced TypeScript: Expert knowledge of generics, discriminated unions, unknown-first API parsing, and strict type-safety.

- Custom Fetching Engine: Direct experience managing client-side request lifetimes, signal cancellation, timeouts, caching, and custom error boundaries.

- Production Accessibility: Practical implementation of complex ARIA patterns, live regions (role="alert"/status), focus-trap management, and keyboard navigation.

- Automated Testing Discipline: Extensive experience with Vitest, jsdom, and React Testing Library, testing by accessible roles rather than internal implementation details.

- Tailwind & Design Systems: Experience building primitive UI libraries with stable prop APIs using Tailwind CSS and design-token systems.

- Date & Timezone Correctness: Strong understanding of IANA timezones, local vs. UTC offsets, DST, and bare business dates.

- Browser Profiling & Monorepo Workflows: Skill in diagnosing re-render bottlenecks, devtool network traces, Git MR workflows, and reading Python/FastAPI backend contracts.

- PHI/HIPAA Safeguards: Strict awareness of data privacy constraints on the client side.

Preferred Qualifications

- Testing & Tools: Playwright end-to-end testing, OpenAPI client codegen, and automated accessibility testing (axe/jest-axe).

- Domain & UI Patterns: Healthcare domain knowledge (cardiology/GDMT, FHIR, care management), complex calendar/scheduling UIs, list virtualization, or WebRTC/Twilio Voice SDK integrations.

- Infrastructure & Build: Vite/bundler tuning, Docker Compose monorepo setups, and SPA delivery (S3, CloudFront, CSP, light Terraform).

- Ecosystem Trends: Familiarity with headless components (Radix, HeadlessUI) and React 19 / Server Components.

AI Usage & Candidate Authenticity:

AI tools may be used to format resumes or assist with drafting application materials; however, all submitted information must accurately reflect the candidate's experience. Misrepresentation—including copied job descriptions or unverifiable work history—is not acceptable. Candidates must be prepared to clearly and confidently discuss all experience listed. Elevated Efforts may request work samples, portfolio links, or other forms of validation during the hiring process.

Use of AI tools during interviews or assessments is prohibited unless explicitly permitted and will result in disqualification.

Work Authorization: Candidates must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (green card holders) and authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. Visa sponsorship, visa transfers, and other employment-based immigration support are not available for this position.
