Adobe Associates, Inc. is a prominent civil engineering and land surveying firm located in the heart of Sonoma County. Our company has been surveying in the Northbay region for over 44 years, and we are looking for an experienced land surveyor to join our team. Help us provide quality surveying services for our clients! The ideal candidate will have land surveying experience (5+ years & management experience strongly preferred), and be proficient in all aspects of land surveying, including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, construction staking, ALTA/ACSM surveys, legal descriptions and more. The candidate will also be responsible for preparing and submitting survey reports and working with clients to meet their needs.     Job Description

    Responsibilities include:

    • Preparing Records of Survey, LLA’s, Certificates of Compliance, Subdivisions and others.
    • Preparing proposals & Service Agreements for potential clients
    • Occasionally performing field work – surveys, staking, site visits, managing
    • Managing the field crew schedule and adjusting to the needs of the company and client as needed.
    • Work with agencies on project related matters
    • Prepare and submit survey reports
    • Work with clients to ensure that their needs are met
    • Stay up-to-date on the latest land surveying regulations and standards
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
    Qualifications

    What makes a Qualified Candidate:

    • Licensed in the State of California as a Professional Land Surveyor (or at minimum currently seeking licensure)
    • Familiarity with working in Sonoma, Marin, and Napa County and good working relationships with the agencies within those jurisdictions.
    • 5+ years management experience – especially of multiple crews
    • Experience in field work, field procedures, & current application of equipment used today
    • Experience with Topographic Mapping, Records of Survey, ALTA’s, Subdivision Maps and processes, Lot Line Adjustments, Construction Staking and Calculations, Legal Descriptions for LLA’s, easements, PG&E, Leases, and more.
    • Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D
    • Experience with Drone and a UAG 107 license.
    • Strong background in construction layout and the ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines, whether internal to Adobe or external.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills – to coordinate with clients and consultants and work internally with other departments such as wastewater, civil engineering, and permitting

    Additional Information

    Compensation and Benefits:

    • Competitive salary and benefits package:
    • LSIT with 4-6 years of management experience: $90,000 – $115,000
    • PLS: $125,000 – $155,000 plus quarterly bonuses (PLS must have experience managing complex projects with demonstrated ability to work with a variety of stakeholders on a project team; 5+ years’ experience preferred.)
