About the Opportunity

A growing Texas-based energy and utility organization is seeking an experienced IT Senior Manager (IT & OT) to lead day-to-day IT operations and support technology initiatives across the business. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role supporting both corporate IT infrastructure and operational technology environments within a rapidly growing utility organization.

The company is experiencing significant growth through acquisitions and infrastructure expansion, creating an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building scalable processes, leading teams, and driving operational excellence.

This role is ideal for a strong IT leader who can balance strategic priorities with hands-on execution and operational support.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead daily IT operations and support services across the organization
  • Oversee end-user support including laptops, mobile devices, systems, and applications
  • Support and improve Microsoft environments including Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID, and Azure
  • Partner with operations teams to support OT-connected technologies and field systems
  • Drive cybersecurity initiatives, risk reduction, and incident response readiness
  • Support ERP, CIS, and asset management systems, including future SAP initiatives
  • Manage IT vendors, service providers, licensing, and contracts
  • Own IT budgeting, forecasting, and prioritization efforts
  • Improve documentation, processes, and asset lifecycle management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small IT team while ensuring strong operational support coverage
  • Assist with acquisitions and integration of newly acquired organizations into the IT environment

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years of IT experience with at leat 3 years of experience managing at team.
  • Strong hands-on IT operations and infrastructure background
  • Experience managing IT support functions and operational environments
  • Leadership experience managing technical teams and cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong Microsoft ecosystem experience (Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory/Entra ID)
  • Experience balancing daily support operations with project delivery
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and business teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred

Preferred Experience

  • Utility, energy, oil & gas, or infrastructure industry experience
  • Exposure to Operational Technology (OT) environments
  • SAP or ERP implementation/support experience
  • Cybersecurity and IT compliance experience
  • Familiarity with SOX/ITGC controls and audit environments
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ITIL, or Microsoft/Azure certifications

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role based in Bee Cave, TX, with an expectation of being onsite Tuesday–Thursday and remote Monday/Friday. Occasional travel within Texas may be required to support operational locations and acquisition integrations.
