Job description

About MoonPay

Hi, we’re MoonPay. We’re here to onboard the world to the decentralized economy by making digital money move as universally and effortlessly as the internet.

Why?

Because crypto, stablecoins and blockchain aren’t just technologies. They’re tools for global financial empowerment. They give people and businesses more control over their money, their digital assets, and their future, opening access to legacy financial systems that have been out of reach for many.

What we do

MoonPay is a unified payments platform for digital currency. We make it easy for anyone, anywhere, to buy, sell, swap and pay in digital currencies as easy as sending an email. That simplicity is intentional, our focus is reducing complexity so people can participate confidently, without needing to be crypto experts. We power the entire flow between fiat and crypto end to end, with compliance, identity checks, fraud prevention, and settlement all built in. This end-to-end approach reflects how we work internally: with accountability, rigor, and trust built into everything we ship.

Proven at scale

Trusted by over 30 million customers and over 500 ecosystem partners, our secure, enterprise-grade platform is driving mainstream crypto adoption worldwide. Behind those numbers are millions of real people and organizations relying on MoonPay every day.

We collaborate with innovative brands and projects to build secure, scalable solutions for a blockchain-powered future. This is an opportunity to help shape systems, not just scale them. And we’re committed to doing it right. Fully licensed in the U.S. and regulated across the UK, EU, Canada, and Australia, because trust and compliance are non-negotiable.

But we’re just getting started. We’ve launched a consumer app that makes crypto accessible, intuitive, and usable for everyone, and it’s growing fast. We’re iterating every day to make it the best it can be.

If you believe financial freedom should be for everyone. If you believe in building a fairer, more open financial system - we want you with us. To build systems that benefit all, we need contributions from all, regardless of background.

Come build the future of payments and the decentralized economy with MoonPay. Let’s make financial freedom and autonomy the new normal.

Locations Supported 🌍
US Eastern Hours, Remote or Hybrid out of our NY office

This role will be hybrid, and will require you to spend some portion of your time in our office in one of these locations.

About the Opportunity ✍️

In this role, you will be joining the Product Operations team working cross-functionally to partner with senior leaders across the company, focusing on high-impact strategic projects and analysis. You\'ll work hand-in-hand with leaders to identify, structure, and act on the most challenging strategic and operational opportunities impacting our business. And you’ll use AI to build scalable systems and processes that multiply your impact.

What you will do…
  • Proactively surface and prioritize high-impact strategic and operational opportunities and own them end-to-end from scoping through execution

  • Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and go-to-market leaders to define and implement strategy across all MoonPay products, driving increased value for our users, our customers, and our business

  • Structure complex, ambiguous strategic problems for the MoonPay leadership team, defining clear hypotheses and building business cases and quantitative models that will inform and influence our approach

  • Work closely with cross-functional leaders to define and manage key drivers of business performance, identifying areas of opportunity and incorporating them into your work

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our competitive positioning by using, assessing, and developing insights about peer businesses to inform your recommendations

  • Deeply understand MoonPay customers and the broader market landscape to uncover insights that inform your recommendations

  • Use AI tools and drive automation to create scalable solutions that combine a broad vision for what is possible with an understanding of the practical demands that constrain them

About You 🙋

The right candidate for this role is enthusiastic about creating stellar customer experiences and building a world class team. You are detail oriented, with a desire to continuously improve operational processes. You are action-oriented and can move quickly to meet the evolving needs of a fast-paced organization. You are passionate about streamlining complex programs, mentoring high performers and enjoy being a culture carrier for your organization.

  • 5+ years leading complex cross-functional programs across Product / Engineering and business (Legal, Compliance, IT / Security, Finance, Operations, etc.) teams in high-growth crypto, fintech, financial services, or technology environments

  • Exceptional communicator who can explain the why, set the stage, and bring people along - including senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Risk, IT/Security, Finance, Data, and GTM without direct authority, and teams resistant to adding process

  • Thrives in ambiguity: strong on operational planning, dependency management, risk mitigation, and program governance in fast-moving, shifting environments

  • Upstream problem-solver who shapes initiatives before they become execution risk - structuring ambiguous, high-impact work from concept through delivery with measurable outcomes

  • Strong analytical instincts; uses data, business context, and quantitative analysis to drive prioritization and operational decisions

  • Proven at building scalable processes, workflows, governance models, and automation systems that improve execution velocity without feeling like overhead

  • Fluent in AI tools and automation platforms; actively applies them to improve productivity, reporting, and execution - and keeps pushing as the tooling evolves
