As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be instrumental in providing quality care. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments and crafting tailored treatment plans based on individual needs.
• Developing pre-crisis and crisis intervention plans, behavioral guidelines, risk assessments, and positive behavior support strategies.
• Documenting patient information and treatment sessions in compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining timely, accurate records.
• Employing evidence-based screening tools and therapeutic modalities to aid patient recovery.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated service delivery and optimal patient outcomes.
• Engaging in licensing and accreditation processes, working to meet and uphold established standards.
• Establishing connections with local, state, federal, and community partners to promote our services and identify potential collaboration opportunities.
• Actively participating in professional development through workshops, conferences, and task force meetings relevant to mental health.
• Contributing to our organizational culture by promoting our mission, values, and principles in every interaction.
• Taking on additional responsibilities as directed by the Clinic Director.

Your role as an LMHC directly supports diverse populations dealing with emotional and behavioral challenges, including those in recovery from substance use and individuals with developmental disabilities. By employing patient-centered approaches, you will foster an environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to take control of their mental health journey.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field from an accredited institution.
• An independent LMHC license issued by the relevant state board in New York.
• Strong abilities in maintaining clinical records and preparing detailed reports.
• Proficiency in collaborating within an interdisciplinary team setting and effectively communicating ideas.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and make informed decisions in line with professional knowledge.
