Peer Support Behavioral Center is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) to join our innovative team. This full-time or part-time position allows for remote work through our telehealth facility. The ideal candidate will engage in therapeutic interventions designed to promote the emotional, mental, and physical growth of our diverse clientele, including underserved populations.

Located in Gresham, Oregon, Peer Support Behavioral Center is a multifaceted clinic dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare services. In addition to behavioral health services, we offer obstetrics, pediatrics, general medicine, family planning, and dentistry. The position operates in a remote telehealth setting which promotes flexibility and ease of access for both counselors and clients. Counselors will utilize various digital tools and platforms to facilitate virtual sessions, conduct evaluations, and manage treatment plans, ensuring clients receive quality care from the comfort of their homes.

• Collaborate with primary care providers to identify, treat, and manage mental health and psychosocial issues as an integral part of the care team.
• Conduct comprehensive patient intakes focusing on diagnostic assessments, functional evaluations, and collaborate on treatment goals and plans with primary care providers.
• Deliver brief, solution-oriented interventions for clients needing immediate mental health services and follow up on their progress.
• Evaluate which patients could benefit most from primary care integration versus those requiring referral to specialty mental health facilities.
• Monitor patient outcomes and adjust treatment approaches when necessary, including the development of relapse prevention plans.
• Support “at risk” patients by strategizing plans to mitigate worsening mental health conditions.
• Document patient progress and treatment recommendations effectively within electronic health records in compliance with agency and federal guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with team members to keep primary care providers informed of patient updates, needs, and progress, and work collaboratively in formulating treatment plans.
• Educate patients about self-management strategies and empower them to participate fully in their treatment and recovery journey.
• Provide insights and recommendations regarding behavioral health services to clinic management and team members to assist in program evaluation and improvement.
• Adhere to ethical standards and fulfill additional duties as assigned.

• A Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field is required.
• Current LPC License valid in Oregon is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of mental health assessment techniques, treatment planning, and therapeutic modalities.
• Thorough understanding of developmental psychopathology, DSM-IV diagnoses, and behavioral therapies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential for working with a diverse patient population.
• Ability to develop meaningful therapeutic relationships and intervene effectively to promote patient progress.
• Sound knowledge of community resources and systems that impact behavioral health.

• Experience working in telehealth settings or familiarity with remote counseling practices.
• Bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish is preferred.
• Prior experience collaborating within a multidisciplinary care team is advantageous.

The salary for this position ranges from $87,000 to $105,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, which includes health insurance, retirement plans, and the opportunity for a SIGN-ON BONUS.
