Position Overview:

The Global Product & Technical Solutions Specialist will provide technical product expertise to support global hardware deployments, partner quote reviews, BOM validation, product substitutions, SKU mapping, and hardware standardization activities.

What you will do as the Global Product & Technical Solutions Specialist:

  • Review partner-submitted quotes for technical accuracy 
  • Validate substitute products and equivalent regional SKUs
  • Support catalog development and maintenance activities
  • Assist with regional hardware standardization
  • Work with manufacturers and suppliers to resolve product discrepancies
  • Support Microsoft hardware roadmap discussions
  • Provide technical guidance to PMO, Global Engagement, and Supply Chain teams
  • Create repeatable product validation processes and knowledge articles

What you will bring to the team:

  • Advanced BOM validation and product comparison capabilities 
  • Product substitution analysis and recommendation development
  • Global SKU mapping and regional product cross-referencing
  • Technical quote review and validation
  • Hardware lifecycle management knowledge
  • Ability to identify equivalent products across regions and manufacturers
  • Strong understanding of OEM product portfolios
  • Ability to interpret hardware specifications and technical documentation
  • Vendor and manufacturer engagement experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Executive-level communication skills
  • Ability to document technical standards and repeatable processes

 Preferred Background 

  • Product Management experience within hardware, AV, collaboration technologies, networking, or IT infrastructure 
  • Solutions Architect, Sales Engineering, Product Engineering, or Technical Consulting background
  • Experience supporting global technology deployments across multiple countries and regions
  • Experience working directly with OEMs, manufacturers, distributors, or technology vendors
  • Experience creating or validating Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Rooms, AV technologies, workplace technologies, or enterprise collaboration platforms
  • Experience supporting global catalog management and hardware standardization programs
  • Experience working with international partners and regional product variations

Qualified candidates can expect an hourly rate of $31.25 to $36.05.  This is a 3-month temporary role with possible extension.
