Position Overview
The AES Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Network Support Technician to provide onsite technical assistance at data centers across multiple locations. This is a remote, travel-intensive position requiring visits to at least three data centers every two weeks.
 
The selected professional will serve as the onsite hands-and-feet resource for remote network engineering teams, supporting network troubleshooting, equipment access, deployments, and infrastructure upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite technical support for remote network engineering teams.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity, PCs, IoT devices, printers, and related hardware.
  • Verify VLAN configurations and assist with wireless connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Check switch and router connections, cabling, ports, and device status.
  • Provide console access to network equipment using appropriate cables and tools.
  • Support network deployments, infrastructure upgrades, and post-deployment hypercare activities.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues while minimizing operational downtime.
  • Communicate findings, progress, and resolutions clearly to remote technical teams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of onsite activities and completed work.
  • Travel frequently to assigned data centers based on project requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in onsite IT or network support.
  • Hands-on experience supporting enterprise network environments.
  • Strong understanding of switches, routers, VLANs, wireless networks, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Experience using laptops with Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and console connectivity.
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced and travel-intensive environments.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel to at least three data centers every two weeks.
