The main difference between a Remote Production Assistant and a Remote Production Coordinator lies in their responsibilities and experience level. Production Assistants typically handle support tasks and entry-level duties, while Production Coordinators manage multiple projects and coordinate teams. Both roles require similar credentials but differ in scope and seniority.

What are Remote Production Assistants?

Remote Production Assistants are professionals who support the production process of media projects, such as television shows, films, or live events, while working from a location outside the traditional studio or set. They handle tasks like scheduling, coordinating communication, managing digital files, and assisting with logistics through online tools. Their role is essential in ensuring smooth operations, especially for productions with remote teams or virtual components. Strong organizational skills, familiarity with digital collaboration platforms, and adaptability are key for success in this position.

How does a Remote Production Assistant effectively collaborate with on-site teams during live productions?

Remote Production Assistants play a crucial role in supporting on-site teams by managing schedules, coordinating communication, and handling administrative tasks from a distance. They often rely on digital tools like project management platforms, video conferencing, and instant messaging to stay connected and ensure smooth workflow. Strong organizational skills and proactive communication are essential, as remote PAs must anticipate needs and resolve issues before they impact production timelines. Regular check-ins and clear documentation help bridge the gap between remote and on-site teams, ensuring everyone is aligned during fast-paced productions.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Production Assistant, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Production Assistant, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience supporting production workflows, often accompanied by a relevant degree or prior assistant experience. Familiarity with cloud-based collaboration tools, video conferencing platforms, and project management software like Slack, Zoom, and Trello is typically required. Proactive communication, reliability, and the ability to problem-solve independently are standout soft skills in this remote role. These abilities ensure smooth coordination, efficient task management, and adaptability to dynamic production environments from a distance.

At ARRISE, we know a thing or two about making great games. From concept to execution, we combine creativity with technical excellence to shape the future of player engagement, driving our business and industry forward.
Our teams plan, prepare, and produce every title in a packed multi-product roadmap, having created over 1,800 slots to date. Game artists, developers, mathematicians, sound technicians, product marketers, regulatory experts, and other stakeholders from across the business all work together on delivering new player favorites at scale and pace.
ARRISE USA represents our growing footprint in one of the world’s most dynamic tech and entertainment markets. With a remote team of product experts, we’re tapping into American talent to drive the next generation of iGaming innovation.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re building a brand-new, US-based, fully remote game studio developing new slot games, and we’re looking for an experienced Production Manager to oversee the studio’s full game development slate.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with multiple teams across the studio to manage the game development process from start to finish to ensure the successful and timely delivery of multiple high-quality, high-performing games.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
  • Own the studio’s game development roadmap, in terms of game delivery and quality
  • Manage, mentor, and grow the production team to meet the goals of the studio and its members
  • Support the production team and provide ongoing production support through all stages of the game development lifecycle, coordinating across internal and external teams to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned
  • Help establish and enforce production best practices, processes, and metrics across game projects
  • Analyze KPI data and provide solutions that target desired changes
  • Track, review, and discuss production priorities, timelines, and scope with the studio’s General Manager and each team’s Game Designer
  • Playtest and provide feedback on game math, mechanics, game flow, and visual presentation with an eye toward creating the best player experience possible
  • Regularly play competitors’ games in the iGaming and land-based spaces to stay abreast of industry trends and new mechanics
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
  • 5+ years of production experience with real-money slot games for iGaming or land-based markets
  • Experience leading and managing teams in a game development environment
  • Degree in Game Production, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of the game development lifecycle and game production methodologies and the ability to teach and implement production methods across teams and disciplines
  • Strong project management skills including proficiency with project management tools such as JIRA
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially the ability to clearly communicate complex and technical concepts to stakeholders across the globe
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging game mechanics, and player expectations
  • You should:
    • Be able to confidently coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
    • Be able to move comfortably between strategic and detailed levels
    • Bring strong organization and structure to a fast-moving environment
    • Have excellent problem-solving skills
    • Provide, accept, and act on feedback constructively
