This role will report to the VP Product who owns the consumer payments / consumer experience portfolio, centered on payments between consumers, healthcare providers, health plans and businesses.

The team supports a broad payments network embedded within HSA custodians, Financial Institutions and Health Plans.

This role will oversee the C2B payment product and strategy: enabling consumers to pay providers via embedded financial platforms. And the B2C payment products and strategy, facilitating payments between business to consumers, emphasizing ease of use and simplicity.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that the portfolio of payment solutions meets or exceeds revenue and market share goals
  • Development of cost benefit analysis to support and justify capital spend
  • Synthesizes competitive analysis and market assessments to drive the product strategy, prioritize investments, and establish go-to-market strategies that capitalize on market trends, customer needs and competitive positioning
  • Clearly understands the competitive landscape - competitor strategies, positioning, strengths and weaknesses
  • Establishes a Strategic Roadmap for the portfolio, including New Product concepts, extensions of existing solutions, and M/A activities
  • Understands and documents macro / micro market trends and competitive threats to drive the Business capability's strategy
  • Constantly collects and analyzes performance data (e.g., market, financial, and operational) in order to identify new opportunities for the business
  • Engages key clients for strategic discussions on market trend impact, current issues, and new product concepts
  • Support Sales for Key Client activities
  • Creation of a product culture across the enterprise including talent development, training, career pathing

Required Qualifications:

  • 8 years of progressive leadership experience in product strategy and management roles within Payments and/or Fintech and/or Financial services and/or Healthcare
  • 5 years of experience in business and consumer payment products including Virtual cards, ACH, Real Time Payments, Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Prepaid Cards
  • 5 years of product strategy and management experience of bringing products to market, leading teams, creating industry/market collaboration, expanding a P&L
  • 5 years of product development experience in B2B, Direct to Consumer financial services or payments domain
  • Experience working in and leading teams in a matrix organization
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing senior-level presentations and reports
  • Solid knowledge of Payments & Fintech eco system and clear understanding of industry trends and market-leading strategies
  • Cross-functional knowledge (Product Development, Business Development, Finance, Marketing, Technology, Strategy, M&A,)
  • Proven solid strategy, problem solving and management consulting skills
  • Proven ability to not only see tasks through to completion, but to "identify" the tasks needed to move the business forward
  • Proven solid project management skills, including risk and contingency management, ability to manage competing demands and set priorities, and achieve deliverables
  • Proven solid leadership, management, communication and negotiation skills
  • Proven solid analytical skills; has hands-on experience; ability to quickly aggregate and analyze information and draw conclusions
  • Proven solid communicator; capable of effectively presenting ideas and selling concepts and tactics; excellent writer, proven ability to communicate effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA/Master's degree
  • 3 years of Payment Fintech experience
  • 3 years of Management consulting experience
  • 3 years of Financial services experience
  • 3 years of healthcare industry experience
  • Solid knowledge of Optum & UnitedHealth Group
  • Proven ability to build relationships cross-functionally and lead toward common goals

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $159,300 - $273,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
