Job description

Tecovas was founded with the simple goal of making the world's best western boots, apparel and leather goods - and selling them at a fair price. We are a brand revolutionizing a category and welcoming first-time boot buyers and western enthusiasts alike.

Tecovas is looking for an Apparel Product Developer to manage all new Seasonal Apparel Development from Brief Handoff to Line Close. Reporting directly to the Apparel Product Developer Manager, you will oversee the entire apparel development process, ensuring designs are executed to meet quality, cost, and timeline goals while collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing factory relationships.

This role is required to be based in Austin, TX. Candidates must either be currently located in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX.

What you'll do:

  • Work within our apparel milestone process to deliver all protos through the various stages, starting at design handoff and ending at production and participating in QC for ongoing issues.
  • Partner with our Tecovas merchants and designers to assure the product is being developed and delivered correctly on time and at margin target.
  • Partner with the technical design teams to ensure all protos are fit-approved by Line Freeze.
  • Communicate with sourcing team members to assure all materials meet the Tecovas "Functional" guidelines.
  • Create timely and accurate seasonal tech packs in the PLM system.
  • Support managing the weekly tracker, communicating the status of development & protos cross category: Merchandising, Design, and Supply Chain.
  • Partner with Design to understand seasonal trends and fabrication needs. Identify and source fabrics that align with the creative brief while meeting price point and margin targets.
  • Be a hands-on partner for hybrid team members.
  • Have a growth and problem solving mindset around process and workflow with cross functional teams.
  • Visit factories to manage the development of the products through various phases.

Experience we're looking for:

  • 401(k) match
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Flexible PTO policy
