Overview
Sentara Health is seeking an Enterprise Analytics Consultant to support executive leadership across Enterprise Analytics, Finance, and Strategy. This role leads cross-functional analytics and data governance initiatives, develops enterprise reporting and dashboards, and partners with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, SQL, Databricks, Epic Clarity, data governance, and healthcare analytics, with experience developing automated monitoring, surveillance, or investigative analytics solutions. Experience supporting pharmacy, compliance, fraud detection, or controlled substance monitoring is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain enterprise dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions using Power BI.
  • Build and optimize data models, ETL processes, and data pipelines utilizing SQL and Databricks.
  • Leverage Epic Clarity and healthcare data sources to deliver meaningful business insights.
  • Lead and support enterprise data governance and data quality initiatives.
  • Create automated monitoring, anomaly detection, and surveillance reporting solutions.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities, solve complex problems, and drive data-informed decisions.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Power BI development experience
  • SQL, ETL, and Data Engineering expertise
  • Databricks experience
  • Epic Clarity healthcare reporting experience
  • Strong data governance and data quality mindset
  • Experience with surveillance, fraud detection, compliance, or investigative analytics
  • Knowledge of predictive analytics, statistical analysis, and data visualization

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Master's Degree preferred

Experience
  • 5+ years of business acumen experience required
  • 5+ years of analytics experience preferred
  • 5+ years of healthcare industry experience preferred
  • 5+ years of statistical analysis experience preferred
  • Experience working with Epic Clarity and healthcare data environments
  • Experience designing enterprise reporting and dashboard solutions using Power BI
  • Experience supporting compliance, pharmacy, fraud detection, surveillance, or investigative analytics initiatives
