Connect Serenity Counseling Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Clinical Mental Health Counselor, licensed as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC, to join our dynamic team in a full-time remote capacity. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Co-facilitating childbirth education and postpartum peer support groups alongside a birth worker to enhance community education and resilience.
• Engaging with community activities designed to promote holistic wellness and build supportive networks among birthing individuals and families.
• Participating in clinical consultations and interdisciplinary co-learning spaces to enrich your professional development and clinical practice.
• Completing all required clinical documentation timely to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Delivering direct services that encompass behavioral health assessments, counseling, and case management specifically geared towards Black birthing families.
• Consulting with prenatal care team members, such as medical providers, midwives, and lactation educators, to ensure integrated and quality care for your clients.
• Performing other related duties as required to support client care and organizational objectives.

Your primary focus will be on Black birthing families, addressing their specific mental health needs during and after childbirth. Your role is crucial in navigating the complex emotional landscape that accompanies the birthing process, ensuring that each client receives personalized, culturally competent support that resonates with their experiences and background.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• An active license as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC.
• A master’s degree in behavioral sciences or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with a diverse, multicultural clientele and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• An efficient work ethic, capable of managing caseloads independently while seeking assistance as needed.

While not mandatory, candidates who have prior experience working in telehealth settings or with perinatal populations may have an advantage, as familiarity with these areas can enhance client interactions and support.
