As a Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your key responsibilities will include:

• Co-facilitating childbirth education and postpartum peer support groups alongside experienced birth workers to empower clients during and after their pregnancy journeys.
• Actively participating in community engagement initiatives aimed at fostering holistic wellness and building supportive networks among birthing individuals and their families.
• Engaging in clinical consultation and interdisciplinary learning opportunities to refine your practice and collaborate with colleagues on case management.
• Completing all required clinical documentation promptly, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards while maintaining the confidentiality of client information.
• Performing additional related tasks as assigned to meet the evolving needs of the organization and its clients.

Your work will primarily focus on supporting clients within the perinatal and postpartum populations, providing tailored mental health interventions that address their unique challenges. You will be instrumental in promoting emotional and psychological wellness, helping clients manage stress, anxiety, and other mental health concerns as they navigate significant life transitions.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse, multicultural, and interdisciplinary teams while maintaining professionalism.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to seek assistance when faced with challenging scenarios.

While not mandatory, the following experiences are highly valued:

• Previous experience working with perinatal and postpartum clients, facilitating support groups, or providing education on mental health in relation to pregnancy.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems to manage client interactions and documentation efficiently.
• Experience in community outreach and engagement efforts aimed at building relationships and resources for clients.
