• Provide direct mental health services including comprehensive behavioral health assessments, individual counseling sessions, and effective case management tailored specifically for Black birthing families.
• Collaborate with prenatal care team members such as medical providers, midwives, and lactation consultants to ensure integrated and quality care delivery.
• Facilitate childbirth education classes and co-lead postpartum peer support groups alongside experienced birth workers to enhance community education and support.
• Engage in community outreach activities aimed at promoting holistic wellness and collective empowerment within the birthing community.
• Participate actively in clinical consultations and multidisciplinary learning spaces to foster professional growth while enhancing team collaboration.
• Manage clinical documentation meticulously to comply with regulatory standards and contribute to comprehensive care plans.

This role specifically centers on Black birthing families, involving a pivotal focus on addressing the unique mental health challenges they may encounter before, during, and after childbirth. By offering culturally competent services, you will help navigate complex emotional landscapes, providing support that acknowledges their specific histories, experiences, and needs.

• Master's degree in a behavioral science, psychology, counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC within the state of California.
• Strong interpersonal skills that foster healthy relationships with clients and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote setting, with the readiness to seek assistance whenever necessary.

• Previous experience working with maternal mental health and the birthing population is highly desirable.
