Looking for a hands-on laboratory opportunity?

A healthcare organization outside of Oakland, CA is seeking a Laboratory Technologist to support testing in a remote or mobile laboratory setting.

Position Highlights
  • Perform point-of-care testing in a remote/mobile setting
  • Work across Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Molecular & Coagulation
  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection
  • Monitor quality control and troubleshoot instrumentation as needed
  • Enter patient information, test orders, and results into the laboratory information system
  • Maintain laboratory supplies, QC records, and required documentation
  • Opportunity to operate a mobile laboratory delivery van when needed

What We're Looking For

  • Laboratory experience with point-of-care testing preferred
  • Comfortable performing venipuncture and capillary collections
  • Strong attention to detail and specimen integrity
  • Able to monitor QC and recognize abnormal or questionable results
  • Comfortable troubleshooting equipment, computer, and client issues
  • Able to work independently in a remote/mobile setting
  • Strong understanding of laboratory safety and documentation procedures
