Position Overview

Join The Still Point as a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) where you will enhance the quality of life for our clients through exceptional clinical care and support systems. This full-time position, operating within a remote hospice setting in Santa Clara, California, is perfect for individuals eager to make a profound impact in the lives of individuals and families navigating end-of-life challenges.

About the Organization

The Still Point is a mission-driven outpatient practice dedicated to promoting whole-person wellness, equity, and clinical excellence. Our interdisciplinary team focuses on providing compassionate care in a supportive environment, where every team member is valued for their expertise and contributions. We believe that holistic approaches not only support mental health but also foster resilience among our client population.

Work Environment

This role is structured as a remote position, allowing for flexible scheduling and a work-life balance that suits your personal needs while still being part of a collaborative, mission-focused organization. Our remote infrastructure utilizes advanced telehealth platforms, ensuring you can work efficiently and maintain meaningful connections with your clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations to create individualized treatment plans that reflect the unique needs of each client.
  • Provide therapeutic support through individual, family, or group sessions employing evidence-based approaches tailored to address varied mental health issues.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, adhering to ethical standards and agency policies to ensure compliance and protect client confidentiality.
  • Engage in regular clinical consultations and trainings, contributing to ongoing professional development and supporting team cohesion.
  • Advocate effectively for clients across various systems such as educational institutions, healthcare providers, and legal services to facilitate their access to comprehensive care.
  • Foster a culture of inclusion, openness, and mutual respect within the team, enhancing collaboration and shared growth.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve clients coping with a variety of emotional and relational challenges, particularly those involved with hospice care. You will engage with clients from diverse backgrounds, including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, immigrant/refugee communities, and low-income families, ensuring culturally competent care that respects and understands their life experiences and systemic barriers.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid and active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential in California.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field, with a strong commitment to advancing your practice.
  • Solid skills in diagnostic formulation, trauma-informed care, and culturally competent practices are essential.
Preferred Experience
  • 1–2 years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred, particularly in settings focused on mental health support and end-of-life care.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMRs) and telehealth platforms such as SimplePractice and Zoom.
  • Experience advocating for marginalized populations will be highly valued, enabling you to navigate complex cases effectively.
Compensation and Benefits

The Still Point offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and credentials. In addition to a robust salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Health and wellness benefits, encompassing medical, dental, vision, and mental health coverage.
  • Generous paid time off for vacation, sick leave, and holidays to support your well-being.
  • Continuing education support, including CEU reimbursements and access to internal training programs.
  • Weekly clinical consultations and peer support opportunities to encourage ongoing professional development and team collaboration.
  • An inclusive and mission-driven workplace culture focused on integrity, inclusion, and respect for human dignity.
Career Growth Opportunities

At The Still Point, we place a strong emphasis on professional development and career advancement. We encourage our LCSWs to pursue leadership roles, specialization certifications, or further education with the support of our organization. You will have access to mentorship and resources aimed at achieving your career aspirations within a supportive environment.

Why Join Our Team

By joining The Still Point, you contribute to a transformative mission that prioritizes whole-person care in the field of hospice. You will find a supportive team environment that fosters collaboration rather than isolation. If you are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals at a crucial juncture, this is the place for you.
