What Are Remote Jobs Working for Podcasts?

Remote podcast jobs focus on the preparation and production of programming for podcasts. You may work from home to create ideas for shows, host the podcast, transcribe interview recordings, or help produce and record the podcast. As a producer or content creator, you develop the programming and may act as a host or hire on-air talent. As a technician or engineer, you record the podcast and edit the audio using software such as Adobe Audition, Logic Pro, and Audacity before publishing it. Other remote roles include being an editing intern and a remote production assistant.

What is a remote podcast?

A remote podcast is a podcast that is recorded with hosts, guests, or participants located in different physical locations, often connecting via the internet. This setup allows for greater flexibility, enabling people to collaborate from anywhere in the world without the need to be in the same room or studio. Remote podcasting typically uses tools like Zoom, Riverside.fm, or SquadCast to record high-quality audio and video. It has become increasingly popular as it allows for broader guest access and easier scheduling.

What are some common challenges faced by remote podcast producers, and how can they be addressed?

Remote podcast producers often encounter challenges such as coordinating schedules across different time zones, maintaining high audio quality with remote guests, and ensuring effective communication among distributed team members. These challenges can be addressed by using reliable scheduling tools, providing clear technical guidelines to guests, and utilizing collaboration platforms for seamless teamwork. Establishing clear workflows and regular check-ins also helps keep projects on track and fosters a cohesive production environment, even when working remotely.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Podcast Producer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Podcast Producer, you need expertise in audio editing, sound design, and storytelling, often backed by experience in media production or communications. Familiarity with audio editing software like Adobe Audition or Audacity, and knowledge of remote recording platforms, are typically required. Strong organizational skills, creativity, and effective communication help in coordinating guests, managing schedules, and crafting engaging content. These abilities ensure high-quality production, efficient workflows, and compelling episodes that grow and maintain a dedicated audience.

Job description

RealWorldLeaders.org is a nonprofit organization that has introduced 4,000+ underserved youth to 1,000+ CEOs and their teams, helping students discover their natural gifts and explore meaningful career paths.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking to build a team with dynamic, relationship-driven, organizing personalities to help care for and expand our incredible network of CEOs, schools, nonprofits, and cohosts.

Overview:

What if one conversation could change how a young person sees their future?

At Executive Leaders Radio, we don’t just interview CEOs, we humanize them. We help students and the broader public understand who CEO's really are, how they got there, and what’s possible for themselves. Through these stories, we open doors to confidence, mentorship, and real-world career paths that might otherwise feel out of reach.

But those conversations don’t happen by accident.

They start with someone who’s willing to reach out. Someone who isn’t intimidated by a CEO or their gatekeepers, but instead feels curious. Even excited to pick up the phone, start a conversation, and say, “You should be part of this.”

If you’re naturally outgoing, love connecting with people, and believe meaningful work can come from a simple conversation... this might be exactly the role you’ve been looking for.

As the #1 "Business with Heart” radio show, Executive Leaders Radio has built a powerful reputation; just search us on YouTube or Google and you’ll see the stellar feedback from the 12,000+ CEOs we’ve already featured. Because of that track record, we are creating a high-trust, high-impact pipeline. Instead of CEOs spending $5,000–$10,000 per month on publicists, we offer them something better: guaranteed positive press and meaningful exposure at no cost. We’re looking for someone who can confidently reach out, build relationships, and invite these leaders onto our show.

Beyond the interview, ELR serves as a gateway into Real World Leaders—a mission-driven platform that connects CEOs with students and young adults to spark mentorship, confidence, and real-world career insight through meaningful conversations.

This is a part-time, remote, relationship-driven role focused on booking guests, supporting cohosts, and growing community partnerships for a mission-driven radio show and podcast.

PLEASE NOTE: This is not an entry-level position. We are specifically seeking candidates with 5+ years of professional experience at one company in a relevant role. Candidates without this level of experience will not be considered.

What Success Looks Like in This Role

Rather than a rigid task list, this role is about outcomes and relationships. You’ll help us:

  • Book inspiring CEOs and senior leaders as guests on Executive Leaders Radio by clearly communicating the value and impact of the show.
  • Create a seamless, positive guest experience through thoughtful coordination before and after each appearance.
  • Support and engage our cohosts, helping them feel valued and confident in promoting their company and participation.
  • Strengthen long-term relationships across our CEO, nonprofit, and business community network.
  • Grow into a deeper role in conversations over time, with the potential to support or participate in hosting as you build familiarity with the program
  • This role requires thoughtful, professional communication, as many of the individuals you’ll be engaging with are senior leaders and decision-makers.

Responsibilities

  • Outbound outreach via phone calls and email
  • Guest booking, scheduling, and coordination
  • Relationship management with CEOs, and cohosts
  • Follow-up communication and tracking guest details
  • Light administrative and organizational support related to guest coordination
  • Assisting with promotion of upcoming radio shows and podcast episodes

Qualifications

  • Comfort initiating outreach and starting new conversations (Experience in sales, business development, advertising, fundraising, or nonprofit outreach is a plus)
  • Employment Stability: Minimum 5 years with one organization, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility
  • Proven experience in B2B sales, telemarketing, or inside sales roles with a focus on outbound calling is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with a professional demeanor
  • Professional, warm, and confident engaging with CEOs and senior executives
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment
  • Genuine interest in leadership development, education, media, or nonprofit work
  • Strong presence and confidence in communication, with the ability to represent the organization professionally in conversations with senior leaders

Why This Role Is a Great Fit

  • Part-time, remote position with flexible scheduling
  • Meaningful, mission-driven work connecting leaders with communities and future generations
  • Join an established organization with over two decades of credibility and heart
  • Compensation: $25/hour, with performance bonuses

This Role Is NOT for You If...

  • You prefer fully inbound work and don’t enjoy initiating outreach
  • First-time or “cold” conversations make you uncomfortable
  • You’re looking for a high-pressure, quota-driven sales role
  • You need constant supervision or step-by-step direction
  • You’re seeking a full-time position with fixed hours

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience required

  • Minimum 5 years of experience at one company in a related role

  • This is not an entry-level opportunity

Location & Availability:

  • This is a U.S.-based remote role
  • Candidates must be based in the United States
  • Preference for candidates in Eastern or Central time zones
  • Must be available during standard U.S. business hours for collaboration as needed
