Remote Podcast information

What is a remote podcast?

A remote podcast is a podcast that is recorded with hosts, guests, or participants located in different physical locations, often connecting via the internet. This setup allows for greater flexibility, enabling people to collaborate from anywhere in the world without the need to be in the same room or studio. Remote podcasting typically uses tools like Zoom, Riverside.fm, or SquadCast to record high-quality audio and video. It has become increasingly popular as it allows for broader guest access and easier scheduling.

What are remote jobs working for podcasts?

Remote podcast jobs focus on the preparation and production of programming for podcasts. You may work from home to create ideas for shows, host the podcast, transcribe interview recordings, or help produce and record the podcast. As a producer or content creator, you develop the programming and may act as a host or hire on-air talent. As a technician or engineer, you record the podcast and edit the audio using software such as Adobe Audition, Logic Pro, and Audacity before publishing it. Other remote roles include being an editing intern and a remote production assistant.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote podcast producer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Podcast Producer, you need expertise in audio editing, sound design, and storytelling, often backed by experience in media production or communications. Familiarity with audio editing software like Adobe Audition or Audacity, and knowledge of remote recording platforms, are typically required. Strong organizational skills, creativity, and effective communication help in coordinating guests, managing schedules, and crafting engaging content. These abilities ensure high-quality production, efficient workflows, and compelling episodes that grow and maintain a dedicated audience.

What are some common challenges faced by remote podcast producers, and how can they be addressed?

Remote podcast producers often encounter challenges such as coordinating schedules across different time zones, maintaining high audio quality with remote guests, and ensuring effective communication among distributed team members. These challenges can be addressed by using reliable scheduling tools, providing clear technical guidelines to guests, and utilizing collaboration platforms for seamless teamwork. Establishing clear workflows and regular check-ins also helps keep projects on track and fosters a cohesive production environment, even when working remotely.

Job description

Company Description

Resultant is a modern consulting firm with a radically different approach to solving problems.

We don't solve problems for our clients. We solve problems with them.

Through outcomes driven by data analytics, technology solutions, digital transformation, and beyond, our team works with clients in both the public and private sectors to solve their most complex challenges. We start by learning as much as we can about who they are, how they work, and what they're striving for so we can feel their problems as our own. Partnering with our clients means their desired outcomes are always top of mind, their challenges and strengths guiding our efforts. We build client-focused relationships before we build unique solutions that blaze past expectations.

Originally founded in Indianapolis as KSM Consulting in 2008, Resultant now employs more than 350 team members who operate from offices around the United States including Indianapolis and Fort Wayne, Indiana; Columbus, Ohio; Lansing, Michigan; Denver, Colorado; Dallas, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia.

We're Resultant. Clients partner with us to see a difference. People join us to make one.

Job Description

Resultant is a data and AI consulting firm serving public sector, commercial, and private equity clients. Our marketing team is small, broad, and highly collaborative. We are looking for a Marketing Coordinator who can help keep the day-to-day work moving across channels, campaigns, content, events, and marketing operations.

This is a generalist role. One day you may be publishing a social post or updating a website page; the next, you may be loading a client story into our content library, coordinating a podcast, or pulling campaign performance numbers. You will work across the team rather than own a single channel, helping turn plans into finished work and making sure important details do not get lost.

This role is remote. We are hiring in the Indianapolis and Chicago markets to provide access to clients, events, and team gatherings when needed.

Responsibilities:

Web and content operations

  • Publish and update pages on our current Wordpress website and support the transition to our new website

  • Load and maintain finished content in HubSpot and our internal content hub so sales and delivery teams can easily find and use it

  • Help keep marketing content organized, current, and accessible

Social and brand presence

  • Publish and monitor content across LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, and other channels

  • Monitor mentions of Resultant and our people across press, podcasts, partner content, and other channels, and route relevant mentions to the right people and turn strong opportunities into brand content

  • Monitor the brand inbox and route inquiries appropriately

Events and podcast

  • Coordinate logistics and execution for the events we manage throughout the year

  • Support podcast production, including scheduling, publishing, and promotion

  • Help ensure event and podcast activities are followed through from planning to promotion

  • Maintain the team merchandise webstore, coordinating printing for swag and collateral and supporting special merchandise projects as they come up

Campaign and team support

  • Support active campaigns and content initiatives with production, coordination, and follow-through

  • Build client stories and other sales enablement content in partnership with marketing managers

  • Help track marketing work in Asana and keep tasks, owners, and timelines current

  • Shift priorities as needed to support the most important work for the team

Reporting and insights

  • Pull website, social, and campaign performance metrics on a regular cadence

  • Help maintain visibility into marketing performance and activity

  • Flag anything that looks unusual or worth a closer look. Analytics is a shared responsibility across the team, and this role provides an important set of eyes on the data

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years of marketing experience, or internship experience with meaningful hands-on work and demonstrated output.

  • Comfortable using AI as part of your day-to-day work. You do not need to be an AI expert or have experience with a specific tool, but you should be curious and experienced in how AI can improve your work, solve problems, automate tasks, and help you learn faster.

  • Strong writing skills. You can draft a social post, email, or page update that requires minimal editing

  • Highly organized and dependable. You follow through and keep work moving without needing to be reminded.

  • Resourceful and a self-starter. You are comfortable figuring things out when there is not an established playbook, and you identify areas of need and are proactive in offering support and ideas.

  • Curious about how our business works and who we serve. Our buyers are varied, and effective marketing requires understanding their needs and context.

  • Comfortable working across multiple priorities and collaborating with different members of a marketing team.

  • Willing to learn new tools, experiment with new ways of working, and adapt as the team evolves.

We are not looking for deep expertise in one marketing channel. We are looking for someone with a strong marketing foundation, some hands-on experience, good instincts, curiosity, and the drive to learn and contribute.
