Job description

Partner with FPA Business Partners and senior leaders to provide business partners with financial insights, strategic analysis, and decision‐making. This role supports collaboration between the finance team and specific pillars/departments leaders, acting as a bridge to ensure financial strategies align with operational goals. It supports preparation of budgets/forecasts, monitors financial performance metrics, develops financial models, prepares financial data tailored to various leadership audiences, and identifies opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and systems.

Remote Position: This is a remote position that can be home‐based anywhere within the United States. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Financial Advisory – Develops enterprise knowledge and partners with business & FPA Partners to provide relevant and timely information to understand financial needs, challenges and business opportunities, guide key business decisions with financial implications and analytical outputs for more informed decision‐making. (20%) Budgeting & Forecasting – Support the Finance Business Partner and business leaders in the planning and forecasting process by preparing financial input, assisting with budget development, and helping train stakeholders on budgeting techniques and tools.

(20%) Financial Reporting & Compliance – Prepare financial reports tailored to specific audiences ensuring transparency and clarity in financial communication. Support requests for financial information related to funding asks, grants, state and federal filings, surveys, licenses and any other financial information asks. (20%) Performance Analysis & KPI Monitoring – Ensure key performance indicators are identified and measured against.

Present analysis to explain trends, risks and opportunities. Develop reports that regularly monitor and assess financial and operational performance across the key metrics. (20%) Financial Systems & Process Optimization – Manages the financial segment coding structure, responding to evolving business needs by assessing the associated impacts, including the financial systems alignment process.

Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting, systems and processes including training business partners on financial control and key performance indicators. (10%) Investment Support & Ad‐Hoc Analysis – Develop financial models to evaluate sound business cases, investments and strategic initiatives and support decision‐making with data driven insights. Performs ad hoc financial work as requested FP&A and CFSO leadership and continually strives to identify opportunities to provide financial leadership aimed at reducing costs, increasing revenues, and driving more dollars toward the mission.

(10%) EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree Preferred Degree: Master's Degree Years of Experience: 5+ years KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Financial Expertise: Strong understanding of accounting, financial modeling, and forecasting Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights. Communication: Clear and effective in conveying financial information to non‐financial stakeholders. Business Acumen: Knowledge of industry and the ability to align financial strategies with business objectives.

Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work across various departments and levels. Problem‐solving: Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies creative solutions to multiple/complex situations; troubleshoots and resolves complex problems. Detail Orientation: Demonstrates strong detail orientation and excellent ability to implement quality control processes.

Communication: Consistent ability to meet deadlines in a fast‐paced environment and discuss quantitative findings in easy‐to‐understand terms in verbal and written formats. Initiative: Energetic, organized self‐starter who works under limited supervision, receiving instructions about the results expected, and technical guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Occasional travel required. The starting rate is $81,000 to $95,000 annual. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended.
