Remote Performance Marketing information

What is remote performance marketing?

Remote performance marketing refers to the practice of managing and optimizing digital marketing campaigns from a location outside of a traditional office setting. Professionals in this field focus on measurable results, such as clicks, leads, or sales, often using channels like paid search, social media ads, and affiliate marketing. The remote aspect allows marketers to collaborate with teams and clients online, leveraging various tools to track performance and adjust strategies in real-time. This role is ideal for those who are comfortable with digital platforms and self-management.

How does a remote performance marketing professional typically collaborate with other teams to ensure successful campaign outcomes?

As a Remote Performance Marketing professional, collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential for campaign success. You'll frequently coordinate with content creators, designers, and data analysts to develop effective ads and landing pages, while also working closely with product and sales teams to align marketing strategies with business goals. Regular virtual meetings, shared project management tools, and clear communication channels help ensure everyone is on the same page despite working remotely. This collaborative environment not only supports campaign performance but also offers opportunities to learn from diverse team members.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote performance marketing specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Performance Marketing Specialist, you need a strong background in digital marketing strategy, data analysis, and campaign optimization, often supported by a degree in marketing or related experience. Familiarity with ad platforms like Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, analytics tools such as Google Analytics, and certifications like Google Ads or Facebook Blueprint are highly valuable. Strong communication, self-motivation, and problem-solving abilities help you excel in a remote, results-driven environment. These skills ensure effective campaign management, clear reporting, and the ability to drive measurable business growth from a remote setting.

Job description

Digital Marketing amp; Growth Specialist
Full-Time | U.S.-Based | Remote or Hybrid
POSITION SUMMARY
Civitas Senior Living is seeking a hands-on Digital Marketing amp; Growth Specialist to help drive qualified inquiries, visits, deposits, move-ins, and occupancy across our portfolio of senior living communities.
This role will manage and optimize the full digital marketing funnel — from paid advertising and website performance to lead nurturing, marketing automation, attribution, and conversion reporting. The ideal candidate is both strategic and execution-focused, with the ability to translate data into clear actions and measurable results.
This is not a strategy-only or reporting-only role. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working directly inside digital advertising platforms, websites, CRM systems, analytics tools, and marketing automation platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build, launch, manage, and optimize paid advertising campaigns across Google, Meta, and other relevant platforms.
  • Monitor campaign performance, lead quality, cost per inquiry, conversion rates, move-ins, revenue, and return on advertising spend.
  • Manage paid search strategy, including keyword targeting, audience segmentation, budgets, bidding, and campaign structure.
  • Develop and optimize landing pages, forms, calls to action, and digital conversion paths.
  • Support website management, SEO, local search visibility, and ongoing content optimization.
  • Create and manage email marketing, lead-nurture, remarketing, and re-engagement campaigns.
  • Partner with Sales and Operations to improve speed to lead, inquiry follow-up, CRM utilization, and funnel conversion.
  • Analyze performance across inquiries, visits, deposits, move-ins, occupancy, and revenue.
  • Develop creative briefs and provide direction to designers, developers, videographers, agencies, and content creators.
  • Test advertising messages, audience strategies, creative concepts, offers, and landing pages.
  • Build dashboards and reports that clearly communicate results, opportunities, and recommended actions.
  • Improve campaign attribution, call tracking, and the connection between marketing activity and occupancy results.
  • Identify emerging digital trends, platforms, and technologies that can improve performance and efficiency.
  • Use AI tools to improve campaign analysis, content creation, lead response, personalization, reporting, and workflow automation.
  • Manage multiple communities, campaigns, priorities, and deadlines with a strong sense of ownership.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Success in this position will be measured through:
  • Qualified inquiry volume
  • Cost per qualified inquiry
  • Inquiry-to-visit conversion
  • Visit-to-deposit conversion
  • Visit-to-move-in conversion
  • Move-ins generated through digital marketing
  • Return on advertising spend
  • Website and landing-page conversion rates
  • Organic search growth
  • Lead-nurture and re-engagement performance
  • Accuracy of lead-source attribution
  • Contribution to occupancy and revenue growth
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Three to five or more years of hands-on digital or performance marketing experience.
  • Demonstrated experience personally managing paid advertising campaigns.
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and digital reporting platforms.
  • Experience with SEO, landing-page optimization, email marketing, CRM systems, and marketing automation.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate performance results into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Experience managing advertising budgets and optimizing campaigns based on lead quality, revenue, and profitability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple communities, locations, brands, or business lines.
  • Highly organized, resourceful, accountable, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
  • Experience directing designers, developers, agencies, or content creators.
  • Experience using AI tools for content development, campaign optimization, lead response, personalization, reporting, and workflow automation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, analytics, or a related field is preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in senior living, hospitality, residential real estate, multifamily housing, or another location-based service industry.
  • Experience marketing to consumers, families, caregivers, and professional referral partners.
  • Familiarity with sales funnels involving inquiries, appointments, visits, deposits, leases, or move-ins.
  • Experience managing digital marketing across multiple communities, properties, or locations.
  • Understanding of local SEO, reputation management, paid search, social advertising, and location-specific marketing.
  • Experience with CRM platforms, marketing automation, lead nurturing, and digital attribution.
  • Knowledge of WordPress or similar website content-management systems.
  • Experience with call tracking, offline conversion tracking, and connecting marketing activity to revenue and occupancy.
  • Experience directing external agencies, designers, developers, and content creators.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate is analytical, creative, and action-oriented. They do not simply recommend changes — they implement them, measure the results, and adjust quickly.
They are comfortable moving between campaign strategy, advertising platforms, website performance, CRM workflows, creative direction, and reporting. They think like an owner, focus on measurable business outcomes, and are motivated by building scalable marketing systems that generate qualified leads and support occupancy growth.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should submit:
  • A résumé highlighting hands-on digital marketing and campaign-management experience.
  • Examples of campaigns personally managed, including budget, lead volume, conversion results, revenue, or ROAS.
  • A brief assessment of Civitas Senior Living’s digital presence and the three most important opportunities they would address.
  • A three- to five-minute video explaining their experience, results, and approach to the role.
