Work Environment

In this fully remote position, you will be part of a dynamic team that prioritizes comprehensive mental health care through telehealth platforms. The organization provides state-of-the-art digital resources that facilitate seamless client interactions and treatment deliveries. Your work schedule will typically be Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, offering a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough mental health assessments on senior clients to evaluate their individual needs and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions, aimed at helping clients navigate emotional challenges associated with aging, loss, and life transitions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to design and implement tailored care strategies that promote optimal mental health outcomes for elderly individuals.
• Educate family members and facility staff about strategies to support seniors’ emotional well-being, enhancing the overall quality of life.
• Offer specialized grief and loss counseling services to clients and their families facing end-of-life transitions.
• Develop and implement cognitive stimulation programs and mental health therapies to maintain and improve cognitive function in elderly clients.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies and tools to ensure the effectiveness of your counseling interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on seniors experiencing various mental health issues, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, grief, and adjustment disorders. You will work closely with clients during a critical stage of their lives when they may face unique challenges related to aging and health transitions. Your compassionate approach will foster a trusting environment, encouraging clients to engage actively in their mental health journeys.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.
• Current Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) licensure.
• Minimum of four years of recent, relevant experience in psychiatric counseling and mental health support.
• Proven ability to conduct detailed assessments and create individualized treatment plans tailored for older adults.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Additional training or specialization in psychiatric mental health, particularly concerning geriatric populations.
• Experience working in a telehealth setting or familiarity with remote counseling methodologies.
• Demonstrated cultural competence and empathy when providing care to clients from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, complemented by a sign-on bonus.
