As the Payroll Lead at Pro-Vac...
You'll serve as the technical expert for our payroll department, helping ensure more than just accurate payroll processing. You'll play a key role in multi-state payroll administration, certified payroll, prevailing wage compliance, union payroll, payroll audits, and continuous process improvement.
Working alongside Payroll, HR, Finance, and Operations, you'll help deliver timely, compliant payroll while supporting one of the fastest-growing industrial service companies in the country.

Please Note: This position is remote; however, candidates must reside in a state where Pro-Vac currently employs team members due to payroll, tax, and compliance requirements. Preference may be given to candidates with experience supporting union payroll in Washington, Texas, or Virginia.

  • 5+ years of multi-state payroll experience.
  • Experience processing payroll across multiple legal entities.
  • Strong knowledge of certified payroll administration.
  • Experience with prevailing wage compliance.
  • Experience administering union payroll and fringe benefit reporting.
  • Strong payroll auditing and reconciliation skills.
  • Experience using Paylocity or a comparable payroll/HRIS platform.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or FPC certification.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Experience in construction, industrial services, utilities, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Experience with labor compliance reporting and government-funded projects.
