As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be tasked with several vital responsibilities including:

• Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate and understand the diverse needs of the patients you serve.
• Maintaining open communication with supervisors, direct care teams, and family members to discuss individual patient progress and overall treatment plans.
• Planning and coordinating your schedule of appointments, including home visits and progress monitoring observations.
• Implementing program interventions in alignment with patients’ specific therapeutic plans and ensuring operational effectiveness.
• Engaging in collaborative Interdisciplinary Team Meetings to discuss treatment outcomes and strategies.
• Documenting monthly and quarterly progress notes accurately, in compliance with established standards.
• Providing ongoing support through follow-up interviews and home visits to cater to the sustained needs of patients.
• Facilitating staff training to ensure all team members are proficient in program implementations and documentation processes.

Your work will primarily focus on diverse populations, including both adults and youth. We aim to uplift individuals facing various mental health challenges, with potential specializations in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance use disorders. The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in a relevant field is required.
• Current and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

Candidates should have a minimum of two years of counseling experience in a clinical setting. While not mandatory, specialization in family therapy, trauma, or substance misuse will give you a competitive edge in your application. A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice is essential, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
