This is a full-time remote position, allowing you to work collaboratively with our healthcare teams while having the flexibility to conduct therapy from a location that best suits your needs. The work will predominantly involve supporting patients within a school environment, where you will engage with children and their families in meaningful therapeutic relationships. • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments using interviews, observations, and medical records to gain insight into each child’s emotional, social, and environmental contexts.
• Facilitate individual and family counseling sessions to help children and their guardians manage adjustment difficulties, emotional challenges, and coping strategies as they navigate rehabilitation.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team to design and implement individualized treatment plans that address both therapeutic needs and psychosocial challenges.
• Assist families in accessing community resources, such as specialized support groups, vocational rehabilitation programs, and housing assistance, enhancing their transition back into the community.
• Participate actively in discharge planning to ensure seamless transitions for patients when moving to home or alternative settings while maintaining their rehabilitation goals.
• Provide education for patients and families regarding available community resources and post-rehabilitation services, empowering them for future success.

Your primary focus will be on children who require support in their emotional and social adaptation during rehabilitation, addressing unique challenges associated with their developmental stages. Our clinic serves a diverse array of pediatric conditions, including developmental disorders, trauma recovery, and adjustment issues related to chronic health conditions. Your work will directly influence their rehabilitation outcomes, fostering emotional resilience and promoting successful integration back into their schools and communities.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• An active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida is necessary.
• A strong foundation in clinical practice, including knowledge of therapeutic techniques applicable to children and adolescents.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Previous experience in a rehabilitation or medical setting, particularly within pediatric contexts, is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated understanding of issues related to child development, adjustment disorders, grief processing, and coping mechanisms.
