Position Overview
We are seeking experienced E/M Physician Coders to join a growing team supporting multiple physician specialties. This is a fully remote opportunity with both full-time and part-time/project-based options available.
The ideal candidate will have recent physician-based E/M coding experience, strong production metrics, and the ability to code directly from provider documentation.
Responsibilities
- Review and accurately assign E/M codes for physician professional billing services.
- Code directly from provider documentation rather than solely working coding edits.
- Maintain productivity and quality standards while working assigned coding work queues.
- Utilize coding guidelines and payer regulations to ensure compliant coding practices.
- Work across various specialties including inpatient and outpatient settings as assigned.
- Collaborate with mentors, coding leadership, and providers as needed.
- Utilize EPIC and other coding software to complete daily assignments.

Current openings include:
- Adult Medicine - E/M (Outpatient)
- OB/GYN - E/M & Triage (Inpatient and Outpatient)
- Cardiology - E/M & Diagnostics (Inpatient and Outpatient)
- Hospitalist - E/M (Inpatient)
- Pulmonary - E/M & PFTs (Primarily Outpatient)
- Pediatrics General - E/M with Vaccines (Primarily Outpatient)
- Urology - E/M with Basic Procedures (Inpatient and Outpatient)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of recent Physician (Professional Billing) E/M coding experience
- Active coding certification such as:
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Experience with production-based coding
- Ability to code from provider documentation ("coding from scratch")
- Strong knowledge of physician coding guidelines and payer regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using EPIC
- Multi-specialty physician coding experience
- Experience coding both inpatient and outpatient encounters
Schedule
Full-Time:
- Monday - Friday
- 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Flex start time available between 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM after training and demonstrated performance
Part-Time / Project Based:
- Sunday - Saturday
- Available hours: 6:00 AM - 11:00 PM EST
- Minimum 20 hours per week required
- Minimum 2-hour login sessions to meet productivity metrics
Training
- Mandatory 8-hour EPIC training on a Tuesday
- Ongoing mentorship and training sessions scheduled between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Equipment Requirements
Candidates must provide:
- Personal computer (No MacBooks or Chromebooks)
- External monitor
- Reliable internet connection
- Personal coding software for project-based roles
Compensation
- Contract-to-Hire opportunity after 800 hours for eligible full-time employees
- Part-time/project-based opportunities available for experienced coders seeking supplemental income
