Job Summary

Associate Attorney (Remote | California Bar Required)

Superior Executive & Legal Recruiting's client, a growing plaintiff-side employment law firm, is seeking motivated attorneys passionate about protecting workers’ rights in matters involving wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and related employment claims.

Required Qualifications

  • Active California State Bar license
  • Minimum 1 year of plaintiff’s employment law experience
  • Experience managing a high-volume pre-litigation docket
  • Skilled in negotiating with opposing counsel and securing favorable settlements

Required Experience

  • Handling direct negotiations with opposing counsel of all kinds regarding liability, damages, and legal exposure
  • Moving employment (or something similar) cases toward settlement before litigation or through active litigation
  • Drafting and discussing via phone with Opposing Counsel substantive employment law arguments and responses, not just settlement paperwork after resolution
  • Managing difficult client communication and expectation control throughout negotiations with Opposing Counsel
  • Evaluating factual disputes, employment records, witness issues, exposure analysis, and litigation risk in real time during negotiations
  • Pushing negotiations strategically to resolution rather than only documenting terms already agreed upon
