Job description

Pay Range: $20.07/HR to $26.08/HR. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location.
JOB PURPOSE:
The Remote Service Technician assesses, troubleshoots, and diagnoses problems with durable medical equipment according to manufacturer's specifications via computer software and customer communication, and completes required paperwork properly. This position also participates in the training, development, and support of other remote service technicians in the nation. The Remote Service Technician also participates in major initiatives as directed to improve service and repair nationally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Diagnoses wheelchairs remotely using video conferencing application.

  • Completes all paperwork accurately for each job completed. Submits supplier quotes and justification within required timelines.

  • Trains/educates customers and caregivers in the proper use, care, and safety of equipment purchased or rented. Assists in minor fitting and adjustments of equipment remotely through computer software and video conferencing application.

  • Meets all set productivity and performance standards.

  • Stays current on supplier technical training.

  • Participates in training of new remote service technicians - leads by helping and advise new remote service technicians on customer calls, provides feedback and assistance on best resolutions, instructs on technical information, justification, and Numotion process.

  • Provides internal technical support to Numotion technicians.

  • Identifies and reports any recurring technical issues.

  • Maintains office and equipment used for remote diagnosis.

  • Accesses current information from manufacturers on repair and parts.

  • Rehabilitates equipment as needed for diagnostic assistance with remote evaluations.

  • Follows all safety procedures as required.

  • Attends company in-services and completes educational activities including safety information as required.

  • Perform related duties as required.

  • Utilize Numotion Leadership Principles to perform job with integrity, compliance, and values consistent with Numotion's mission.

  • Adhere to employee or customer confidentiality and comply with Numotion's policies and federal regulations.

  • Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School diploma/GED required.

  • Eighteen months of experience as a service technician.

  • Ability to clearly communicate technical information.

  • Understanding of Numotion service and repair processes.

  • Knowledge of basic computer related skills such as using the internet, and e-mail software

  • Provides excellent customer service.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Able to think quickly, assess a situation and make a sound decision.

  • Listens well and retains instructions; accepts constructive feedback from supervisor.

  • A track record of being consistent with attendance and prompt arrival at work and meetings.

  • Ability to follow standard safety procedures and regulations.

  • Ability to perform job with integrity and values consistent with the Numotion Mission
