Job description

Faulkner Trucking LLC is seeking experienced and dependable Heavy Haul Truck Drivers to transport oversized, overweight, and specialized freight across various routes. This position requires professional drivers with a strong understanding of DOT regulations, safety procedures, and heavy equipment handling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate trucks to transport oversize and overweight loads
  • Ensure secure and compliant loading, unloading, and load distribution
  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and trailer
  • Maintain accurate logbooks and ELD records in accordance with FMCSA regulations
  • Work with pilot cars/escort drivers and follow routing instructions for permits
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and escort teams
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, including securing loads per rate confirmation instructions
  • Navigate through DOT inspections and roadside checks confidently and professionally
  • Perform basic truck maintenance and report any mechanical issues promptly
  • Stay current on regulations and permit requirements for oversized loads

Qualifications:

  • Valid CDL Class A
  • Knowledge of DOT rules, permit requirements, and escort regulations
  • Ability to calculate load weight and dimensions for compliance
  • Ability to read and understand permits, route surveys, and oversized load instructions
