What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Combination Truck Driver, and why are they important?

Combination Truck Drivers need a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), knowledge of safety regulations, and strong driving skills for operating tractor-trailers or similar vehicles. Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs), GPS routing systems, and vehicle inspection tools is typically required. Excellent time management, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills set top drivers apart. These skills ensure safe, efficient deliveries while complying with legal requirements and maintaining positive customer relationships.

What are combination truck drivers?

These drivers are responsible for transporting goods over long or short distances, often loading and unloading cargo as well.
