Life Journey Psychotherapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to provide therapeutic support to our diverse clientele. This full-time position is structured to offer flexibility through a remote work setting while maintaining an impactful connection with patients. As a licensed professional in this role, you will be responsible for evaluating clients’ mental health, devising personalized treatment plans, and actively engaging them in therapeutic processes tailored to their specific needs.

• Conduct initial assessments and regular follow-up evaluations to establish and monitor clients’ mental health status.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, aligning therapeutic goals with client needs.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing culturally responsive techniques to foster a safe and inclusive environment.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate patient records and ensure continuity of care.
• Provide referrals to specialized healthcare providers when necessary, such as psychiatrists or other medical professionals.
• Engage in crisis intervention and stabilize clients experiencing acute distress while ensuring their safety and dignity.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and contribute to comprehensive care strategies.

You will work closely with a diverse array of clients, including adolescents, adults, and families, many of whom are facing complex issues such as substance abuse, depression, anxiety, trauma, and eating disorders. Your role will involve creating a nurturing space where patients feel validated and empowered to embark on their healing journeys.

• A Master's or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.
• A minimum of four years of related clinical experience working with a wide range of mental health disorders.
• Strong foundational knowledge of best practices and evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary for building rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
• A commitment to adhering to ethical guidelines, maintaining confidentiality, and upholding professional boundaries.

• Demonstrated experience delivering individual and group therapy in a remote setting.
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems and virtual communication tools for telehealth practices.
• Knowledge of cultural competence in therapy and the ability to address and respect diverse cultural backgrounds in treatment approaches.
• Strong crisis intervention skills and the capability to handle complex clinical scenarios calmly and effectively.
