This critical role is responsible for leading high-priority, business-driven initiatives that require rapid IT execution.   Up to 15% travel is required for site coordination and deployment activities.

What does the IT Project Manager position do?

The IT Project Manager provides dedicated coordination for growth and operational efforts tied to construction expansion, IMAs, acquisitions, and other business-led programs requiring infrastructure readiness, endpoint deployment, and site-level execution. These initiatives are often time-sensitive, cross-functional, and resource-intensive, requiring strong execution discipline and proactive coordination.  The ideal candidate excels in fast-paced environments, can quickly mobilize cross-functional teams, and ensures IT delivery aligns with business timelines without disrupting core operational commitments.  Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. 


Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Growth & Operational Initiatives
    • Drive execution of IT efforts, including site expansions, acquisitions, and operational readiness activities.
    • Coordinate infrastructure deployment, endpoint readiness, and cutover activities to support business timelines.
  • Enable Digital Service Deployment
    • Lead “digital service enablement” initiatives requiring rapid IT mobilization.
    • Ensure scalable, consistent delivery across multi-site environments.
  • Coordinate Infrastructure & Site Readiness
    • Partner with construction, real estate, and clinical operations teams to support early-stage planning and execution.
    • Align IT deliverables with site build timelines and operational go-live milestones.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Execution
    • Act as the central point of coordination across IT infrastructure, field services, clinical systems, and business stakeholders.
    • Ensure clear accountability, communication, and alignment across all parties.
  • Manage Delivery, Risk, and Dependencies
    • Monitor timelines, identify risks, and proactively resolve issues to maintain delivery commitments.
    • Balance competing priorities across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Improve Execution Discipline
    • Establish repeatable processes, playbooks, and tracking mechanisms for growth-related initiatives.
    • Enhance visibility and reporting to leadership on progress, risks, and outcomes.

  • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of IT project management experience, ideally in healthcare or multi-site environments
  • Demonstrated ability to manage rapid-turn, cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience supporting infrastructure deployment, site buildouts, or operational readiness activities
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred
