Our ideal Remote Operations Technician is a critical part of our team and a virtual face to the customer. Within this role, you will be responsible for providing remote services and support to our customers by providing outstanding technical and customer service guidance. This is a full-time office position which is located in our Cheshire office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities of the Remote Operations Technician include but are not limited to:

  • IT Support relating to technical issues involving; Microsoft's core business applications, workstation and server operating systems, and Dental Imaging and Practice Management Software
  • Support of disaster recovery solutions
  • Basic technical support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security
  • Basic remote access solution implementation and support: VPN, Terminal Services, and software based remote access tools
  • System documentation maintenance and review
  • Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes, and path to resolution
  • On-call coverage

*This position is in-office in Cheshire, Connecticut

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • AS or Technical Diploma in Computer Science or a related field OR equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years of specific IT or related experience
  • Located within an hoursโ€™ commute from the Cheshire, CT office
  • Ability to communicate technical information in simple, easy to understand manner
  • Proven ability to work and resolve customer issues in a timely manner
  • Able to look at a computer screen for up to 8 hours daily
  • Lift/Carry up to 15 lbs.

Preferred

  • Familiarity working in an MSP environment
  • Experience with medical/dental office operations
