Job Description Summary

The Regional Director Operations & Revenue Development fosters brand equity, best in class operations, and net unit growth by consulting and supporting assigned hotels focusing on revenue performance, guest satisfaction, and brand program and standards execution. Serving as the primary face of the brand, the position develops meaningful hotel owner and operator relationships through authentic engagements.
The position is responsible for creating visible brand value for stakeholders, partnering with the hotel sales team to deliver booked business and viable sales leads by conducting in-market sales calls and marketing events. The position consults and educates hotel owner and operators on effective sales and operational best practices to influence revenue growth.
Fluent in Spanish & English is preferred.

This position will oversee a territory primarily based in Texas (1 off properties based in New Mexico and Oklahoma) of 40-45 properties. Though the role is remote/travel we do require the chosen candidate to be based in Texas.

Job Description

  • Conducts on-property business performance consultative visits with owners/operators in assigned region.
  • Analyzes, develops, and delivers Business Performance 360 consultative reviews and business improvement recommendations.
  • Reviews and updates Property Improvement Plans
  • Conducts periodic training on-property, at in-region Townhalls, and Brand Conferences related to brand programs, standards, and other assigned curriculum.
  • Monitors and follows-up with hotels regarding completion of action items such as PIP, RFPs, and other time sensitive obligations.
  • Assists hotel's sales and marketing efforts by:
    • Conducting hotel market assessments and identifying sales opportunities.
    • Partnering with the hotel by making in-market sales calls to develop and deliver both booked and qualified sales lead opportunities.
  • Partners with the regional Franchise Services Manager regarding hotel performance and any escalated support issues.
  • Advocates the voice of the franchisee in balance with Sonesta objectives, to continuously improve brand tools, resources, strategies, and program development to provide an optimal owner/operator experience and results with the brand.
  • Engages in resolution of escalated owner/operator feedback regarding brand performance, brand satisfaction, and license agreement provisions.

You should be:

  • Experienced.Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in lieu of degree. 10+ years professional multi-unit hotel operations and revenue generation leadership
  • Bilingual - Spanish & English are preferred for this role
