Safe Place Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health concerns, utilizing standardized tools and clinical interviews to understand their needs and formulate accurate clinical diagnoses.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), addressing specific goals and challenges presented by clients.
• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions, ensuring a supportive atmosphere that encourages open communication and active participation.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for clients in acute distress, implementing effective strategies to ensure their safety and emotional stabilization.
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation of all client interactions, including progress notes and treatment outcomes, in compliance with ethical and legal guidelines.
• Work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and social workers, to deliver well-rounded care and ensure that clients' evolving needs are met.
• Educate clients and their families about relevant mental health topics, treatment options, and resources, empowering them to advocate for their own needs and well-being.
• Engage in continuous professional development, staying updated with the latest research and advancements in mental health therapy practices.

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse range of clients experiencing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our clientele includes individuals from different backgrounds and life stages, requiring an approach that is both culturally sensitive and adaptable to their specific contexts.

• Must hold a valid license as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R).
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field is required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• At least two years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health setting.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and collaborate with team members.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team dynamic.
• Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards throughout all interactions.

• Experience in outpatient therapy settings or specialized training in therapeutic modalities is preferred.
• Background in crisis management and intervention techniques.
