Description
St. Bonaventure University is seeking a Clinical Experience and Certification Coordinator for Counselor Education. This is a full-time, fully remote opportunity. The Coordinator manages placements for practicum and internship in the Counselor Education Department. Works as a liaison between students, sites, and the CFO office to ensure that placements meet stated requirements and MOUs are developed and enacted. Upon degree completion, recommends graduates for certification or licensure. The Clinical Experience Coordinator works closely with the Practicum and Internship Coordinator (PIC) to determine the appropriate placements for students. Collaborates with the PIC and the Program Director to address issues related to clinical experience in the program.
Examples of Duties
Identifying, securing, and managing all clinicalagency/schoolplacements (one practicumand two internshipspercandidate) that meet licensure/certification and accreditation requirements for all School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling candidates nationally, regionally, and locally; preparing and collecting signed MOUs with every clinical site, and ensuring that the MOU template is updated;
55%Teaching CE 609 to ensurethat students have completed necessary prerequisites for clinical placements (i.e., immunizations, clearances, coursework) and have providedappropriate documentation;
20%Recruiting, preparing, andmonitoringsite supervisors for clinical placements

Reviewing Counseling candidates' final transcripts for accuracy and completeness, and recommending candidates to NYSED(or other applicable agencies dependent on candidates' state of residence)for certification and licensure; responding to verbal and written inquiries from state agencies and organizationsregardingcandidates' completion of requirements for certification and licensure;
10%Other duties as assigned.

Education:
Master's degree in counseling required; familiarity with CACREP preferred
Years of Experience:
3-5 years of administrative experience prefered
Certification and/or Licensure:
Certification as a School Counselor or Licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (preferred)
