Summary of Position: DeVoe School of Business, Technology, and Leadership is seeking experienced Adjunct Faculty to teach graduate project management courses in an online, asynchronous format. Additional opportunities exist to teach international student courses in a hybrid format, which includes online coursework and a two-day in-person session located in Merrillville, IN or Dallas, TX.
We are seeking faculty with a Doctoral degree in business or related discipline, PMP or PgMP certification and 3 or more years' experience in both Agile and traditional project practices or Masters in business or related discipline, PMP or PgMP certification and 5 or more years' experience in both Agile and traditional project practices.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform instruction-related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies and procedures of the college.
  • Employ a range of suitable strategies to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, encourage active learning in all students, maintain proper class related records, promptly assess student coursework, and apprise students of progress.
  • Articulate, current within his or her discipline, and demonstrate a passion for teaching and learning with related professional experience.
  • Incorporate Biblical principles into the content area Communicate with the IWU community in a professional and academic manner. - (Essential)

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

  • Doctorate in business or related discipline, PMP or PgMP certification and 3 or more years' experience in both Agile and traditional project practices, or
  • Masters in business or related discipline, PMP or PgMP certification and 5 or more years' experience in both Agile and traditional project practices.

Experience

  • 7+ years of work experience in a relevant business/industry preferred.
  • Prior teaching experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise and active involvement in continuous education/scholarship in the field
  • Passion and ability to teach effectively, including effective written and verbal communication

  • Proficiency in MS Office products and online Learning Management software
