Job Description:

We are looking for talented, driven individuals to join our team. The right candidate would be a Senior Appian Consultant who can lead an Agile team of developers to deliver the highest-value solutions for our customers. Responsibilities Include:

  • Design, develop, modify, integrate, test, deploy, and support enterprise-level BPM applications
  • Translate business process software requirement specifications into prototypes and solutions
  • Support data gathering and analysis to facilitate risk mitigation and issue resolution
  • May have the role of Team Lead in a development pod
  • Deliver projects using Agile development methodology
  • Explains key Agile terms and ceremonies to those newer to Agile, both internally and externally
  • Properly executes Code Reviews
  • Demonstrates dominance of Appian to the point of being an escalation point that more junior resources could look to for guidance
  • Monitors project and ensures that all project stories and tasks stay on track to meet commitments. Properly identifies any risks or blockers and properly documents and communicates them in order to prevent delays or unblock the development team.
  • Leads Sprint 0s, properly capturing scope and requirements for an engagement
  • As Team Lead, leads all sprint ceremonies and ensures that each meeting adds value and meets the objectives/agenda
  • Responsible for raising to the client any reprioritization of backlog, including any impact that reprioritization will have on the initial scope in the Release Plan
  • Works with the Project Manager to ensure all relevant stakeholders are present at the required meetings. If any
  • Sprint Ceremonies are not scheduled, or do not have the appropriate participants invited; this is raised to the PM immediately.
  • Responsible for pushing all releases across environments
  • Appropriately escalates when necessary while clearly communicating impact and risk


Required:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Appian software development
  • BS in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience throughout the software development life cycle
  • Strong grasp of Agile concepts, including understanding of terms and applicable ceremonies
  • Demonstrated dominance of Appian to the point of being an escalation point that more junior resources could look to for guidance
  • Strong analytical skills, experience designing and delivering complex, highly scalable software components
  • Capable of interpreting, analyzing, and communicating business requirements to the development team
  • Can successfully develop stories independently, requiring minimal feedback from Peer Reviews and QA
  • Capable of interacting with the client successfully, with no difficulties understanding or being understood
  • Strong leadership skills, capable of managing and delegating assignments to junior resources
  • Capable of properly executing Code Reviews and ensuring adherence to Best Practices, preventing bugs from moving forward to higher environments
  • Capable of monitoring and ensuring that all project stories and tasks stay on track to meet commitments
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills, capable of preparing for and leading internal and client-facing Sprint ceremonies, including requirement gathering and Sprint planning sessions
  • Must be able to multitask efficiently and progressively, and work comfortably in an ever-changing data environment
