Position Overview

Atrium Counseling Services is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our innovative outpatient team. This full-time position, based remotely in Rochester, New York, offers the opportunity to provide targeted mental health care to individuals coping with trauma, including but not limited to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Work Environment

This position will primarily be remote, allowing you the flexibility to provide care from a location that suits you while connecting virtually with clients. You will have scheduled hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional adjustments needed to meet patient needs. Collaboration with colleagues occurs during scheduled team meetings and case consultations, and you will have access to the necessary technology to facilitate effective remote therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed, trauma-informed mental health assessments to thoroughly evaluate patients' trauma histories
  • Formulate and execute individualized treatment plans focusing on recovery and resilience-building strategies
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, particularly EMDR and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide the healing process
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma and develop coping mechanisms
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and integrated patient care

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York
  • Strong understanding of and experience with trauma-related disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities
