While primary hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, occasional evenings or weekends may be necessary to accommodate client needs and schedule demands.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and create personalized treatment plans that address the unique mental health needs of geriatric clients.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and screening tools as instructed by the clinical team to enhance treatment outcomes.
• Document all interactions and treatment progress promptly, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and confidentiality protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement positive behavioral support strategies tailored for elderly individuals.
• Participate actively in ongoing training, accreditation, and licensing processes to uphold our commitment to quality care.
• Engage effectively with community partners and stakeholders to expand access to resources and foster beneficial alliances that enhance service delivery.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions to share expertise and support community understanding of geriatric mental health.

This role primarily serves a diverse population of seniors facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief, and adjustment disorders. You will engage with clients from different cultural backgrounds, understanding their unique perspectives and tailoring interventions that respect and integrate their experiences. The goal is to help them navigate their emotional landscape with support, understanding, and effective therapeutic techniques.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.
• A minimum of four years of recent experience in counseling, specifically focused on geriatric mental health.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based interventions and ethical standards within geriatric care.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish trust and rapport with elderly clients.

• Specialized training in geriatric mental health and experience in addressing aging-related issues.
• Proficiency in conducting thorough mental health assessments and designing individualized treatment plans.
