• Conduct thorough assessments and develop customized treatment plans, including crisis and behavioral guidelines, risk assessments, and positive behavior support plans tailored to the unique needs of each client.
• Complete required clinical documentation accurately and promptly, adhering to all regulatory standards to maintain compliance.
• Utilize evidence-based screening tools as guided by the clinical team to ensure consistent and effective treatment approaches.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate the development and implementation of treatment plans that align with best practices and organizational objectives.
• Actively participate in licensing and accreditation processes, ensuring that services meet established quality standards.
• Serve as a liaison to state and community agencies, fostering relationships that enhance service delivery and support client needs.
• Maintain open lines of communication with clients, families, and other service providers, ensuring that all parties are aligned in their goals for client wellness and recovery.
• Engage in professional development activities including conferences, training sessions, and workshops to stay abreast of trends and advancements in mental health care.
• Champion the agency's mission and philosophy through community outreach and partnership development, identifying new opportunities for collaboration and funding.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to support the overall function of the clinic and the needs of clients.

The licensed mental health counselor will work primarily with a diverse range of clients facing emotional challenges, substance use issues, developmental disorders, and more. • A Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a behavioral health field is required.
• Possession of a valid LMHC license issued by the state of New York.
• Proven ability to maintain accurate clinical records and prepare comprehensive reports.
• A strong capacity for teamwork and collaboration in an interdisciplinary setting.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate ideas and treatment goals effectively.
• Judiciousness in decision-making and the ability to exercise independent judgment in clinical situations.

• Experience using telehealth platforms for client engagement is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices in mental health treatment.
• Previous experience working with multi-disciplinary teams in community mental health settings.
• Engagement in ongoing professional development related to mental health and counseling.
