Pathfinder Counseling Services is seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and formulate treatment plans, including pre-crisis and crisis management strategies.
• Utilize evidence-based screening tools to accurately evaluate client needs and progress.
• Document all client interactions and treatment progress in compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring timely completion of all required paperwork.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement personalized positive behavior support plans.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through participation in conferences, workshops, and statewide meetings to enhance your skills and knowledge.
• Serve as a liaison with state agencies and community partners to ensure our clients receive holistic support and resources.
• Promote the agency’s mission and values within the community, cultivating relationships that further strengthen our service outreach and funding opportunities.
• Participate actively in agency licensing and accreditation processes.
• Perform additional responsibilities as directed by the Clinic Director to support the overall mission of the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Pathfinder Counseling Services, you will support a diverse clientele who may face various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and developmental disabilities. Your role is critical in providing tailored therapeutic interventions that empower clients to achieve personal growth and recovery, facilitating a pathway towards healthier living.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a behavioral health field.
• Active LMHC license from the state of New York.
• Strong ability to maintain clinical records and prepare detailed reports.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team setting.
• Proficiency in exercising professional judgment and making independent clinical decisions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in delivering outpatient mental health services, preferably through telehealth platforms.
• Previous work with populations facing substance use disorders, developmental difficulties, or acquired brain injuries is an advantage.
• Prior involvement in interdisciplinary treatment teams or community-based programs.

Compensation and Benefits

This position comes with a competitive annual salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
