Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs, including crisis intervention strategies and behavioral guidelines.
• Document all clinical notes and treatment records promptly and in compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic tools and methodologies to facilitate screenings and assessments as part of the clinical team.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement positive behavior support plans that enhance client progress.
• Engage actively in licensing and accreditation audits, ensuring all operational practices align with industry standards.
• Maintain open and effective communication channels with state agencies, community partners, and service systems in alignment with client needs.
• Build and sustain relationships with local, state, and federal organizations to advocate for our clients and secure potential funding sources.
• Pursue ongoing professional development by attending relevant workshops, conferences, and participating in community outreach efforts.
• Embrace and promote the mission, values, and philosophy of Pathfinder Counseling Services in all interactions.
• Perform additional responsibilities as directed by the Clinic Director to support organizational goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Pathfinder Counseling Services, you will work primarily with individuals experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and behavioral challenges associated with developmental disabilities. Your role will involve conducting intake assessments and offering tailored therapeutic interventions to help clients manage their conditions effectively.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate Degree in a behavioral health field is required.
• Active LMHC license issued by the state board.
• Proven ability to maintain clinical records accurately and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively express ideas and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions based on clinical knowledge.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an outpatient or community mental health setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic practices and approaches.
• Proficient in the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and client management.

Compensation and Benefits
